Don't edit her comments to make them look like they are hers... that is dishonest and fraudulent and it harms the credibility of the site.
With Monk and aussie still here we have a big enough credibility problem.
Plus when I read back thinking I'm actually reading her stuff, it does my head in. :bgrin
Shut the Fark up Roach, I don't need you man handling my battles.
Just lovely
But Not Mantra....

Some of Howard’s spending where he gave bonuses to those who voted for him are still in the Budget. They need to be cut, just totally unsustainable. Some income tax cuts need to be reversed so Howard & Costello’s mismanagement is still with us today hampering economic and fiscal management.

Well let's not be vague then Monk, be specific and in passing mention why the G-ALP did not take action during their 6 years in government.
If you can't people will think you are talking through the top of your head and are just completely biased. :beer

Some income tax cuts need to be celebrated as well so Howard & Costello’s wise management is still with us today growing and keeping the economy strong with brilliant fiscal management.
I agree Howard was a legend and that spending of his was spot on like you said.

The tax expenditures can be cut, this will save close to $50Bn a year. The asset test on the aged pension needs to be tightened up—those with a million dollars in assets do not need the Age Pension even in part. The way the income test works is crap too—those on the pension who do still do some paid work quickly lose pension while those on huge super incomes pay not tax on those huge incomes.

FBT can be tightened. I don’t see how a car is any less part of remuneration as the cash in the paypacket (real or digital.)

From next year the tax subsidies on super will cost more than the Aged Pension.

Now, why did the Rudd/Gillard govts not take action?

Rudd govt was preoccupied with the GFC, preparing the response then managing it. Swan cut huge swathes of wasteful spending out the Budget but that was a minority govt and stuff like means testing the private health care rebate took time and effort to get it through both houses against LNP hostility.

Swanny did start to cut into the tax expenditures in his last few weeks in office but the LNP reversed that when they won office.

Rudd govt was preoccupied with his EGO, and putting shit on people behind their back. Swan was the biggest loser we ever had and tried to ride on the back of Howards surplus but failed miserably.

Swanny did start clasping at straws before the end as he was laughed out of government and the fact he did so with his dick in gillards hand didn't help matters at all.
Yeah it was a bit of a joke towards the end.
