Never heard of that ...mantra wrote:That's OK then. I've heard that red hair is worshiped in the US.

It seems, this child may have been given-up to a single woman who claimed she could not have children of her own with a view to being sold to another childless couple.A lawyer came forward last week claiming to have information that Maria had at one time been in the care of a businessman seeking to adopt but that he had rejected her after discovering she had congenital eye defects — most likely related to the albino condition she shares with five of her nine siblings.
They won't get her back now. The Romani couple wouldn't be fit candidates to adopt or foster with their track record of not even knowing how many children they have and when they were born. It's very sad, but that's life when it's run by the bureaucrats. The biological parents have said they'll take their daughter back if the DNA test proves she's theirs.Mellie wrote:She should be returned to the Roma couple at once.
The children appear too white to belong to these parents unless they've got a missing chromosone which causes this albino effect in their progeny.AiA in Atlanta wrote:There is a theory that the Neanderthals had red hair and that Homo Sapiens may have gotten the trait from them. Good grief, Mantra! If couples can't have their own kids and want children ....... would you really, truly care if the little baby that you had wanted for years had a different coloured skin to yours? People want children and if they cant have their own, they will take what they can get. The children involved don't realise anything is different. The parents are their Mother and Father and that is IT. Taking the child away at 3-4 years old would be very damaging to the child ... and the parents. Leave things be.mantra wrote:They won't get her back now. As far as Americans worshiping red hair - over the years I have heard many references made to "he's such a good looking young man with red hair". It's always seemed as though red hair was envied amongst the males and desired by the females. When I went to school - there were one or two kids with ginger hair and freckles and they weren't considered attractive, but now it's quite common probably because multiculturalism has introduced many different ethnicities into our gene pool.
