The ALP is gaining in the Tassie seats that it is currently behind in. No need for early election!

You still under the weather Monkey Boy...

by nef's post.
Libs 44%
Lab 40%

2pp estimate 50/50... that's your best estimate.
Admittedly much better than under Gillard... heaven knows why the product is still the same.

Have an opinion Monk but be honest about it.

I reckon Kevvy wants to have the election in Nov, sort of reliving 2007.

I think Bennelong will come back to Labor, they have an excellent candidate and John Alexander is just a void.

Yat Sen Li is probably a good candidate. Better than McKew, just a rusted on celebrity who used to deny her political bias.
But he is a blow in.
He has been out of Australia for many years.
Last I remember of him was during the Republic Referendum and standing for the Unity party against One Nation. Both battles he lost.
There is only an 18% Asian demography in Benelong so I'm not sure how that will go.

That figure has been revised.
The boundaries of the electorate of Bennelong have shifted and convulsed with population growth in Sydney, and so too have the demographics.

This shift from a stable Liberal hold reflects the changing face of Bennelong as much as a shift to or from the major parties. More than 50% of the populations of Eastwood and Epping were born overseas, mostly coming from Asia

Yes mantra perhaps the demographer on the radio the other day meant to say Chinese. happy to concede that point. Being aware that not all Asians get along, and that Indians are counted in that demographic. I also note that Epping and Eastwood are only a part of the seat, Eastwood having a large Korean population.

Like I said... it will be interesting.

Very appropriate! Those 3 idiots would impose austerity at a time austerity is discredited everywhere.
