You have essentially recited a myth and when asked to support it have tried the old "it's common knowledge" chestnut.
Saying that it is easy to find is not the same as saying it is common knowledge. The popular myth in Australia is the opposite - that MPs are paid more than they are worth.
The study found some former MPs struggled to find work and many earned less after leaving the House of Commons.
What is it with you and digging up evidence that is obviously not relevant? Surely this would be just as dependent on the salary of MPs in the country in question, and many other local factors, that are not necessarily relevant. In Australia plenty of professional and middle management positions pay more than a politician's salary.
Therefore, I stand by the assertion that all of them have a strong vested interest in winning their seat at the next election.
LOL, that's a bold claim.

As regards MPs looking after their “own vested interests:”
One reason Rudd won’t have anywhere near enough support, so little support as to rule out a second challenge. Post from PB:
Oakeshott had earlier said all bets are off is Gillard goes, said he would talk to anyone re a stable govt. I think he’s now ramping up the pressure by explicitly naming Turnbull as someone he could deal with (and I think he would) given that everyone knows he can’t stand Abbott.
Windsor has said he won’t support a Rudd led ALP. Rudd = April election. Rudd only challenged now because by May it would be too late for him.

What is with your criticising evidence when you offer none of your own?
LOL, that's a bold claim.
I thought it was obvious, yet your argument seemed to indicate you disagree.

Well, Rudd is challenging. Ego über alles it seems. Probably challenge number one in the timetable he will follow.
We could have the Three Stooges rooting our economy by April.
Rudd took Gillards achievements as his own, tho he failed to get them through. His one reform of the Party, the PM picking his/her own choice of Cabinet and Ministry is being abandoned because two of his followers, McLelland and Carr got demoted in the recent reshuffle.
As I said, ego über alles.

Dullard or Dudd
Either way the liebor party is fucked. They will be in opposition for decades if they don't pull themselves apart and the Greens will end up as the No2 major party which will allow the conservative to rule unhindered
The country will finally be able to get back on track without the massive waste foisted on us by the leftards
You can't help but laugh at what a rabble they are

Yes they're both hopeless and aren't working for Australia, but a greater power. Howard was similar, but just more discrete about it.
Abbott is not a good alternative. Rudd did manage to remind us that Abbott was yesterday's man in regard to all social, environmental and humane issues and he still has a better image than Abbott. Gillard's lack of social grace will be her undoing. I would have thought she'd try and fit in some elocution lessons at least. Trivial as that seems - people generally prefer a good voice.

And Rudd is running as the savior from the “faceless men!”
He is a joke!
Gillard will be re-elected with a big enough majority and will be PM when Labor wins the 2013 election.
