Besides basic broadband internet services the NBN will provide/make possible:
Telehealth—just when needed with the Boomers beginning to leave the workforce en masse
Internet of things—medical and security monitoring, business uses for this
Multicasting of video
Hi definition video “phone calls”
Farmers are beginning to use the internet of things to monitor soil moisture, crop ripeness and animal movements. The more the NBN is rolled out, further into the bush with co-payments the more farmers can use it to become more efficient and productive.
These are uses we can see now, fully justify the $30Bn price tag. Fraudband can’t and the copper is so poor that Fraudband is not reliable.
But with superfast, ubiquitous, reliable FTTH there will be many more uses developed. After all, when they started laying the copper for the CAN they didn’t think of the internet!

Neat info video on the NBN:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XbmneAiM ... UOJovhuQM3" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Even if the NBN ends up costing $94Bn—a figure Turncoat just pulled out his fat arse—it is still worth it. But I doubt it will cost more than $50Bn and will provide employment during the build and underpin the country’s future prosperity. Only numpties and Lib fanbois oppose it, even tho the copper really can’t last much longer.
Complete fucking idiots—IQ, SN and roach included—believe either FTTN is good enough or that (everybody chant the mantra together) “Wireless is the network of the future.” Ironically—wireless needs the NBN to be able to function!

Turnbull has never prepared a business case for his fraudulent FTTN crap:
Of course the numpties here will just say Steve knows nothing, etc. It ain’t Steve sits in a call centre phantasising about being an engineer
