Rather than insult the person who has brought quality evidence to support their claim, could you please provide counter evidence to justify your claim?
FFS I ALREADY DID!

The fact remains not EVERYTHING in life is able to be googled.

Think about that for a moment.

Then read Harry's posts and mine.

You've not posted any alleged tertiary qualifications of Paul Keating.
But as you've said you have, could you please kindly repost these qualifications.
And perhaps you could let Mr Keating also know of these qualifications.

I'm not sure wtf was going on in 1971 given I was born in 1970.

I was at Sydney Uni from 1990 onwards. I went through Uni with Keating's daughter. My Economics Tutor was John Howard's brother. My best friends included the daughters of some notable politicians including the Attorney General's daughter (John Dowd). Let's just say that even since then I've mixed with some very interesting people in my life.

After having read this topic .. I think it's very impt that people realise 2 things :

1) Not everything is able to be googled and

2) Nothing beats lived experience.

As stated previously .. we had a few laughs re Keating and his speeches in Parliament back in the early 1990's. During this period .. he was at Uni (quietly) learning economics and hearing him rehash what he had learned the night before was pretty hilarious at the time. But it made for some good tuts.

Good times.

Oh and I do believe that Keating was subsequently given a few honorary Uni qualifications (I can recall that happening also). We had a bit of a giggle over that too. The fact remains .. he was funny to listen to when he 1st started out as PM lol :)

Have you discovered your alleged post declaring Paul Keating's tertiary qualifications yet?

Looks like Keating knew how to find and take good advice. This is one characteristic of an effective leader.

Well Keating didn't need nor have any tertiary qualifications to become Prime Minister.

It allows for all people to be able to climb the political ladder.
Besides having a piece of paper means only that you have extended your learning ability - academically.
Keating had learnt from those around him who had pathed the way and were able to pass on the "vitals" in political life.

Having John Stone (Treasury) guiding also educated Keating, much like having your own personal tutor.
