They may well be true, but opinion polls on science are irrelevant. Science isn't a populartity contest. Otherwise in the US, creationism would have won out years ago.

No. Unless it is applied globally, the economy of the unilaterally acting country WILL suffer economic damagefreediver wrote:It would be better if applied globally - hence the great effort to get a global agreement. So you agree that the economics only make sense if applied globally?
No wonder Gillard wanted this to slip under the radar.... wonderful timing isn't it.Senator Fielding, one of seven cross-bench senators, has written to his upper house colleagues telling them that Australia's chief scientist, Professor Penny Sackett, had accepted the validity of data which showed the world had not warmed in the past 15 years.
But the senator's office had earlier sent out a media release wrongly naming Australian National University climate expert Will Steffen as the nation's chief scientist.

No wonder Gillard did a body swap, and didn't wish to meet with her or cart her along to Copenhagen, she wouldn't lie for the ALP.
See, Australia's recently resigned chief scientists research findings concluded that the planet had not warmed in the past 15 years.

Why? .. because IPA is a bogus institute? . don't see how their political propagandisng could have any bearing on my knowledge or ignorance.mellie wrote:You are a complete ignoramus, face it,
I can see why some of the rabid right love Tony Abbott. Like minds are attracted. And Abbott thinks he has a chance of leadership. If he ever gets in - he could make you his Deputy IQ.IQS.RLOW wrote:At least the right only have the IPA instead of the long line of .org shit stains emanating from the arsehole of the greens sucking up public money - those supposedly non-political organizations are a conga line of green suckholes slinging off the public purse and offer nothing but advocacy of the greens mantra and when they realize that their alarmist messages are being ignored, they start up another 'group' to try and add legitimacy to their argument
Greens are filthy fucking liars and fluffy bunnies
A Liberal insider has released a tape of a phone conversation between Tony Abbott and Tony Winsor......
"You're a f***ing liar, a dog, a rat ... I hope you die, you bastard," a rabid Tony Abbott said.....during negotiations!!!

Hello Mellie,
If this is true, then it is extremely disturbing no matter which side of the debate you're on. However neither of those links you gave provides the quote that you gave about Fielding writing to other senators.
