Will Sussan Ley make it to the next election as leader of the opposition?

She won 29 to 25 and relied on the votes of senators whose terms end on June 30, so her current majority will more than likely evaporate.

She's pro 'welcome to country' and all that goes with it. She's said that Robert Menzies founded the party as the “Liberal” party not the "Conservative" party.

I was at a regional hospital the other day and 2 flags were painted on all the walls. One was the Aboriginal flag and the other I had to search lol. It was the Torres Strait Islander flag. Not an Aussie flag in sight. I don't want more of this. Aren't we all Australians?

Was she chosen just because she's a woman? Personally, I think there are too many women being elevated in politics just because they are women.
I don't think anybody should be chosen or dismissed because of gender.
Criteria for political leader should be ability and ideology while for public service or juditial it should be only ability.
I agree but all too often lately minorities are chosen just because they are minorities and not because of experience and/or competence.

I don't know enough about Ley yet but she appears a little 'woke' for my liking but on the other hand I like Jacinta Price. Both females.

We don't EVER want to start going down the road of placing loons in high places just to appear tolerant ... like the US left's Secretaries for Health and Energy.

Agreed, I don't want our side to start going down the path of electing minorities, females etc for the same reasons, but on this occasion, I genuinely think Liberals had ran out of options. Unfortunately.

It's awful to say, but there's a rather unfortunate reason why our Dutton had to go.

I personally liked him, but then again I collect exotic pets and odd ends & stuff, so I'm probably not part of the general consensus, aesthetics wise. ....

Yes, she made this public yesterday, and her mother's eyes lit up on her death bed when she learned her daughter had been elected leader of the Libs.

I'm still skeptical about it though, either another Turnbull infiltrate or a cupey doll on a stick.

Will she be leading the Liberals to the next federal election?

Well, she was critical of a fake rape victim Britney Higgins, who had too much to drink and got laid on purpose.....

But the left will cry persecution next election, and falsely accuse Lee of being cold and heartless.

Looks like the Coalition are so defeated, they've capitulated into Leftism.
We're screwed!

You watch them push a Media celebrity induced Republic against anything political against the British influence here.
Of course, they'll use the Monarchy as their excuse, in the hope Australians won't realise that the Monarchy of the UK has nothing to do with the politics of Great Britain itself.

And sadly, I don't think the kings doing so well with his cancer either. It would be great to see the royals reunite, especially given two of them have been battling cancer recently, but I think times running out, especially for our King.

And that useless bloody Andrew 😒 He could have been useful had he not got caught up with the wrong crowd.

Whilst the King is seemingly more liberal than his predecessors, he's still very much a traditionalist, particularly royal duties wise, he is still a hard working royal, the cancer may have wearied him, but he's still going.
