BTW I hate SHY and her party but fair is fair and we should be able to see that in what we read!
Well I was a delegate to that party's Qld state council and state conference for 5 years running (2003-2008) and I don't hate Sarah Halfwit Young, I pity her because she's so unintelligent, the epitome of dingbats.

I had already quit/resigned as a member when I saw TV footage of SHY as a Senate committee member questioning an Army General (I think he was head of the ADF at the time).
From memory the topic/issue of her interrogation regarded refugees and border security (at sea in particular).

SHY began her question with "We have a show on TV about the navy ..." inferring that it reflected reality.
The General was understandably dumbfounded by her apparent stupidity when it turned out the show in question was an ABC drama series called "Sea Patrol". And I thought "Shit, you (SHY) don't just make the Greens look stupid, you cast a shadow over the intelligence of South Australians".

Now to get back on topic, the theme/meme of this thread is about SHY (or pollies in general) living the high life from her high horse. The crux of the nitty gritty of this hypocritical perks squandering is 'entitlement'.
SHY (and pollies in general) don't give a rat's arse what we think about their rorts, because she's (they're) entitled.
If Donald Trump is so close to the Ruskis, why couldn't he get Vladimir Putin to put novichok in Xi Jjinping's lipstick?

me thinks hes making the most of his 19 votes...
Now you're on to it.

Remember when Anning got condemned as a neo-nazi for using the phrase "final solution" in his maiden speech as a Qld KAP senator?
Well I at that time suggested he was drumming up support for his re-election, as there's bound to be more than 19 neo-nazis in Kweensland.

I expect him to get 100,000 votes next time.

His comments apparently saw quite a bit of support in Mt Isa.

It was actually a Channel 9 television series, not an ABC programme.

Good grief ... talk about picky. Yogi probably saw it on YOUR ABC as a "repeat" .... not ALL YOUR ABC programs are "originals" you know.

Even their News is behind Sky News ....

You do realise that people employed at YOUR ABC are PUBLIC SERVANTS, don't you? I never watch ABC ... boring beyond belief.

Really? Care to point out a few of these programmes which are repeated from other stations?

I was only aware of the commercial stations picking up the droppings from the ABC.
Even their News is behind Sky News ....
Sky news is way behind SBS news, like all other Australian stations. You see something happening overseas on SBS, you'll see it the next night on ABC and then the night after on a commercial station. Tsk, tsk, not really news by then, is it?

Apparently so ... honest mistake ... but the point is/was that Sarah Halfwit Young while questioning the head of the ADF during a Senate committee interrogation used the show in question (a drama series) as a reference point in her question, as if the show reflected reality. Quite simply, she's an idiot!

I believe the show did "reflect reality". Otherwise it wouldn't have been as effective as it was. You do understand what the term "reflect" means, don't you? No, it appears not.

Sarah Hanson-Young is an effective politician IMO. She represents the people of South Australia well. She asks difficult questions of the Tories and demands answers. She may have been mistaken in using a TV drama show and misrepresenting it as a documentary (I don't know, I have not see or heard of this episode from the Senator's life before) but overall I am happy with her performance in the Senate - as are sufficient South Australians to elect her.

Just because you don't like her isn't overly important.
