Prime Minister Tony Abbott has renewed his strong criticism of Islamic group Hizb ut-Tahrir after its spokesman refused to condemn the actions of Islamic State (IS) terrorists during a fiery interview on the ABC's Lateline program.

Speaking on Fairfax Radio this morning, Mr Abbott said Mr Wassim Doureihi's remarks confirmed his concerns about Hizb ut-Tahrir.
