her conviction was "quashed", not overturned. There is a legal difference between the two terms. Overturned means that the case is reversed and no conviction occurs. Quashed means there is no case to answer, at all.

What I always found interesting is how the PHONies proclaimed that her fraud case was a political put up job, when there was no evidence of that, it was just the AFP doing it's job. Her conviction was an accident as far as Howard and Abbott were concerned. The quashing of her conviction though, now that smacks rather like some instructions were given to the courts...
