I cannot stand her!
And why is that, Black Orchid, Mmmm?
Because I don't like her aggressive pushing of minority agendas. She should be in the Greens. I don't like Shorten or Morrison either so don't start spouting BS about being homophobic

I won't be. I gave you a chance, as I always do, to explain yourself, Black Orchid. So, you don't like her politics. Fair enough. However, I think you're taking your dislike a little too far IMO.

A Liberal candidate has resigned after criticising a woman who said her husband had raped her, saying the husband was the "real victim".

A spokesman for the Victorian Division of the Liberal Party said Scullin candidate Gurpal Singh was asked to step down after a series of offensive Facebook posts were made public.

"Based on new information that has come to light, Mr Gurpal Singh has been asked to resign as the candidate for Scullin. Mr Singh sincerely apologises for his previous comments and has tendered his resignation," the spokesman said.

sorry bo but I dont agree with this at all...

I have mentioned it on the Big Brother thread... are they being watched 24/7??

if they are ITS WRONG...... he has a right to an opinion.....

why should you or I be afraid to have an opinion on a website as long as it isnt provoking violence??????????????.....

what next JAIL?...

a Labor man was dismissed as well for something he said years ago....

again ! are they suggesting as humans they can never make a mistake or be capable of changing their way of thinking...

bloody hell I know I have......

we have gone stark raving mad...

you know we will end up with people who are afraid to be honest........not allowed a freedom of thought......they must stick to the PC and just repeat the mantra ...kind of brainwashing to me..

WHERE ARE WE HEADING... THATS WHAT WE NEED TO ASK OURSELVES... :scare :scare

The others who have stood down made politically incorrect statements about Muslims/Jews etc. I don't really care about political comments.

Singh, on the other hand, criticised a woman who alleged rape, abuse and violence by her former husband and said that the husband was the real victim. That puts him in the same category as that cleric Hilali who compared the way Aussie women dress to exposed meat and a whole new category of creep.

It wasn't a mistake. It is his way of thinking and a cultural belief. We don't need opinions like that here let alone in politics.

With Singh gone Clive Palmer has now jettisoned in a United Australia party (UAP) hopeful who peddled conspiracy theories about the September 11 terrorist attacks.

It just keeps getting worse and worse.
