At least two of the first three questions came from people who identified as Socialist Alternative speakers. Then the show was interrupted for several minutes by at least half a dozen sympathisers, chanting slogans and unfurling a banner. Other questioners sounded like fellow travellers. So much for the vetting. Q&A claimed the audience comprised Coalition voters 47 per cent, ALP 38, Greens 9. Utter rubbish. - how foul a world would be led by socialists like these students. They were rude (one shouted "liar" at Christopher Pyne, misrepresenting Pyne's opinion), they repeatedly heckled Pyne and shouted him down, they ended all discussion for several minutes by chanting and forcing Q&A to break transmission, they demanded others pay for their privileges, they lied in claiming our education system was only for the rich. Abusive, selfish thugs with no respect for the opinions of others. The kind of people who created the Gulag Archipelago.

Protester Brigitte Garozzo ... said the protest was organised by the Education Action Group from the University of Sydney, not the Socialist Alternative.

Like the two have nothing in common. Garazzo is actually a Greens official (do the Greens support this protest?), but Sydney University SRC's education officer explains how close the ties are between the Education Action Group and Socialist Alternative:

MONDAY night, a bunch of rude and rowdy university students in the audience of Q&A ambushed the ABC panel show, causing the broadcaster to pull the program from the air.

Like that’s a bad thing. Conservatives have been calling on the ABC, and the government, to pull that program for years.

It seems that Q&A has never achieved a balance off left versus right with neither the panel nor the audience; about 3:1 in my opinion. The last episode just only reinforces its inherent bias.

Its interesting how some of the points conservatives have been making about the composition of the audience and the ABC’s agenda, have recently been proven to be correct. The fact they had the same audience member chosen twice on separate shows to ask questions of the Government is beyond a sham.
