Perhaps this is where Madeleine McCann ended up? Now that they've found two white children in a week - they could possibly find more. That old saying - "she was taken by the gypsies" has a ring of truth about it.

Maybe the Roma should pull their heads from their collective asses, integrate with society and become useful and productive members of civilization.

The problem is overcoming centuries of cultural inertia among the Roma/romani/whoever. They've got a culture set up around a nomadic lifestyle, and one that lends itself to a lot of petty crime and sometimes into child kidnapping.

Basically it's a culture of Carnies, and trying to shake them loose from that mentality takes a couple of generations of them being in one place earning stable incomes. Basically you're not going to get the roaming criminal out of them until all the oldsters that remember the "good old days" are dead. So pretty much like any other culture with a negative reputation earned over several generations.

Give them a few decades. Next thing you know they'll be just another demographic, working jobs, paying taxes, voting, ect. The White Man's culture is insidious like that.

There is a resemblance, but they couldn't have smuggled her from the States to Greece, unless they stuffed her in some luggage. That little Missouri girl was probably murdered by one of her parents as would be the case with a few of these missing children.

I came here to say: I find it EXTREMELY suss that the parents weren't discovered straight away. I'm guessing she wasn't very loved, or sold to the Greek Gypsie couple.
