I doubt many people listen to her these days except the Monks and Mirandas of the world.
Harsh or not, this is a Tony Abbott thread.

Thought I would add Juliar to it.
Yesterday it was so bloody hot here at 10.30 am (35+ for 5+ days) and, despite having a/c on, I turned on the Weather Channel (Foxtel) and, guess who was telling.us.what.a.devastating.thing.a.bushfire.was.and.how.we.should.all.take.care?
I almost threw the remote at the plasma! She is so bloody false. That voice is so non-committal and condescending .... except when she is screaming like a Banshee in Parliament about misterabbit the misogynist.

Unlike you, some people do volunteer work to give back to the community and not for self gain...then again, how many ALP ministers are volunteers? I'm guessing they fit into the same leech category as you.
Exactly.
And unlike Gillard who does things for political point scoring purposes, this is something Abbotts been involved in for decades, and well before the prospect of him running for PM entered the equation.
What was Aussie doing while Tony Abbott was fighting fires?
Lol..probably lighting them.
What sort of volunteer/charity work was Gillard involved in prior to her becoming PM again?

Other than raising money for corrupt union officials and woman on "Emilys List" this is.

Your usual crap. Abbott has been a politician for many decades, going right back to his University days.

Gillard hasn't been into politics for decades? Tell me it isn't so!
She was a Member of the Communist Party when at Uni.
They are about the same age, you know. I bet that if Gillard and Tony had a competition to run 100 metres .... Gillard would fall down in the first metre. She would be wearing highheels*.
* Gillard hasn't any idea about what is or is not appropriate!

Here's the difference between rusted-ons like you and people like me Arsie.
I can defend Julia, but you can never stop your bias and concede even 1 point.
Some people shouldn't be allowed to vote.

And Gillard hasn't?
I started my arts and law degree at the University of Adelaide and became involved in a campaign against education funding cuts. In 1983 I was elected National Education Vice-President of the Australian Union of Students (AUS) and moved to Melbourne to complete my degree at Melbourne University. Later that year, I was elected President of the AUS. I joined the Carlton Branch of ALP while studying at university and served as its President.

The only difference I can see, (in terms of who has been what for how long) is that Gillard was more a self-interested self-serving go-getter, whereas Tony Abbott has more of a social conscience this and has spent allot of his time volunteering and being involved with a number of charities throughout his political career.
Each to their own I guess.
I mean, Gillard wouldn't be too crash hot fighting fires with her uncoordinated pigeon toed waddle.
She'd just fall on her face and get in the way, though at least she'd have her nose to break her fall.

In all fairness, she was probably listening to
"songs of the Russian Revolution" on her Ipod at the time, and isn't accustomed to marching in high heels. I mean, you only have to see how she's walking bolt upright to conceal her dowagers hump and crane turkey neck to realise she's well and truly out of her comfort zone, and is trying way-too-hard to appear more confident though feminine in a foreign country than she really is.
I'm sure she would have been more comfortable wearing a pair of Marschstiefel boots.
If you think dyspraxia sucks, try marching in a pair of high heels with it.
