I'm all for keeping the unemployment benefit well below the minimum wage, to encourage looking for work. However, the gap opening up between the two. I know the unemployed are an easy target to kick, but, come on?

I'm all for scrapping it all and starting all over again.

You can't live on Newstart, it is ultimately unsustainable over a lengthy period of unemployment. Once you have sold all your assets you will be homeless, broke, and have spent your whole life working for nothing.

if you people actually read some of the stuff I've posted you'd get a better idea of the situation.
