I don't think it is about HATE mantra.
We have seen where the violence and HATE is coming from. Haven't we?

AS Julia Gillard struggled to explain how Muslim children could be used to incite violence, eight-year-old Ruqaya yesterday fronted a congress of Islamic fundamendalists in Sydney to espouse her love for jihad. Addressing a 600-strong crowd at the Australian chapter of Hizb ut-Tahrir in Bankstown in the city's west, the young girl urged all Muslim youth to fight for the restoration of the Islamic caliphate, a single global government for all Muslims established under strict sharia law.

Yes - I agree. There is a lot of hate there for us - and any westerner, further proof that multiculturalism isn't the answer to a peaceful society.I don't think it is about HATE mantra.

It's too late to turn back the clock now. We'll have to accept it - unless there is another riot and then perhaps the government of the day will have the courage to review the background of various ethnic groups more diligently.
The violent crimes have increased here - often emanating from those of ME origin with a shooting occurring almost daily in Sydney. Illicit drugs are often dispersed professionally by many Asians, although they usually kill each other first - and groups of professional confidence men head over here from Eastern Europe.
Immigration should be halted for a while so we can review the population - but it won't happen. When we invade other countries and destroy their infrastructure - it's our duty to take in their displaced people - inconvenient and expensive as it is.

Many people have been against Multiculturalism since Fraser introduced it as a settlement policy. Many even before that with that fool Grassby and Whitlam.
It's never too late. We simply need a legislative change and it may take many years but eventually the change in society will filter through. I can see no reason those wishing to be Australians would object to a reintroduction of Integration or Assimilation. We could also of course have an immigration policy that is more choosey than it is now.

This sounds as though our mission in Afghanistan is successful, but we know it isn't and infrastructure is far from adequate. Afghanistan is a basket case and the people are desperate. War is all about big business - otherwise we would have withdrawn our troops years ago. While we're still fighting over there - we'll get more and more refugees. I don't have a problem with the Afghans or the Iraqi's seeking asylum here. Were they coming here in hordes prior to 9/11? We never did find Bin Laden there.Actually we are building Infrastructure and facilties in Afghanistan.

Actually the stuff our engineers have built like housing and water supplies etc have been quite good.
Mantra the war in Afghanistan isn't a profit maker. Not in monetary or human terms.
However women have been freed from the Taliban and are being educated once again.
That is not to say that Afghanistan by our standards isn't a basket case.
Afghanis know we exist now and will continue to come regardless. Their relatives here will encourage them.
Until the government cracks down on the boat people arrivals they will come via the backdoor.

Death to the West, Death to America, Behead all who insult the Prophet, Death to the Infidels...
Years ago I wrote a piece that touched on just how wrong the radical Muslims got it.
This article touches on the phrase... How soon they forget... problem is, most of them are pig ignorant and never knew in the first place.

Timothy Lynch
AS religious protesters, claiming Koranic inspiration, attack US embassies and their staff, with the demonstrations taking an Australian form in recent days, how are we to understand their motives? Morons...
The standard explanation is that the West generally and the US specifically is reaping a whirlwind. Having supported Israel for too long and assorted Arab autocracies too expediently, 'the Arab street' has finally had enough.
Humiliated by years of military occupation, perceived Western economic exploitation and Israeli prosperity, now even half-baked American amateur movies inspire a violent reaction.
While I do not want to discount such sensitivity as an explanation for the rage among a small minority of Muslims, I think the wider cognitive dissonance on which it rests deserves mention.
US foreign policy since World War II betrays a distinct bias towards Arab and/or Muslim interests. The narrative of assorted Western liberals and the Islamists they are keen to find common cause with is largely wrong. The United States is a pro-Muslim power, in effect if not always in intention.
The demise of the British Empire, which loosed Arab nationalism and contributed to the rise of Islamic fundamentalism, was acquiesced in, and often actively supported, by Washington.
The US was a key agent in the fall of British power across the developing world - baulking only when these newly liberated states looked like going communist, not when they became more Islamic.
The US has not always supported Israel. In 1956, then president Eisenhower refused to aid Israel, France and Britain in their war against Arab Egypt - setting the stage for a rebirth of pan-Arab nationalism. Saddam Hussein rode this wave to power in Iraq and created an Arab dictatorship that the US went on to support in the 1980s.
President Nixon in 1973 forced a peace deal on Israel that saved the Egyptian Third Army from almost certain destruction by Israel. Thereafter, Egypt became one of the chief recipients of US aid (alongside Vietnam, Israel, Iraq and Afghanistan).
In the disastrous Iran-Iraq war (1980-88), President Reagan supported Arab Iraq against Persian Iran. Before Iraq became the enemy, it was America's ally against Iran.
Simultaneously, the US covertly funded the Islamist mujahideen in their successful war against the Soviet Union.
Without US support, the rise of the Taliban and their subsequent support of al-Qaeda would likely not have happened.
In 1991, a US-led coalition liberated the small Arab monarchy of Kuwait from Baathist, socialist Saddam Hussein. US troops were thereafter deployed to Saudi Arabia to protect it from possible attack from Iraq.
After the Cold War, the US extended this Muslim bias beyond the Middle East. In 1995, NATO forces bombed Christian Serbs to the negotiating table in Dayton, Ohio. The creation of an ethnically Muslim state in former Yugoslavia - Bosnia Herzegovina - was the direct consequence of US military force. Many European leaders were content to see the Serbs win; Bill Clinton was not.
In 1999, he repeated this approach. Kosovo would almost certainly not have become an independent, Muslim-majority state had America not guaranteed its viability by, again, bombing Christian Serbs, this time targeting Belgrade. Within months, the virulently Islamophobic Slobodan Milosevic was on trial in The Hague.
Such American foreign policy did not elicit Islamist approbation. Rather, in perhaps the first indication of the cognitive dissonance we see today, jihadists plotted and planned 9/11. Nothing the US did was enough to shift an Islamist caricature of America as an anti-Islamic power. Morons...
If such actions on behalf of Arab/Muslim interests were insufficient to appease jihadists, how can better American public diplomacy be expected to do that? And yet this was the pretext of President Obama's initial rapprochement with the Arab street - engagement and soft power would bring gains that hard, military power had not.
Soft power, however, has had a decidedly marginal influence, as we saw last week.
Like Bush before him, Obama soon found himself at war in a Muslim country (Libya), the success of which stimulated the Islamist rage, so long retarded by Muammar Gaddafi, that is currently burning US flags and murdering US diplomats. How do we explain the enmity of the liberated against their liberators? Cognitive dissonance. Morons...
It is a psychosis that leads men to march in Sydney with banners demanding the decapitation of those who deny Islam is a religion of peace, to applaud the brave nineteen Arabs who brought down the Twin Towers on 9/11 while maintaining it was the Jews who did it, and to condemn the West for its feminism, abortion rights and pornography, ignoring the fact it affords Muslims greater freedom of religion and opportunity than any state with a nominally Muslim government. Morons...
Cognitive dissonance is defined as the holding of two or more conflicting cognitions simultaneously. It is a psychosis that lies beyond the power of any US president to resolve.
But remembering history more accurately would be a good place to start.

Well what do you know that well know Lefty Penbo can get something right occasionally.Bringing Dark Ages to the streets of Sydney

THE most repugnant aspect of the protests by radical Islamists in Sydney was that it provided a terrifying insight into the workings of intergenerational hatred.
Normal parents go out of their way to shield their kids from repellent images and distressing concepts. If your kids happen to see footage of passenger jets being flown into buildings, or a pile of bodies lying on a war-torn street, it is normal to tell them it is nothing and change the channels.
If your child happened to ask you what beheading was, you would change the subject.
Happily, children are not even aware of the hideous concept.
Except in Sydney, on Saturday, where a bunch of kids under the age of 10 paraded through the CBD with placards kindly made for them by grown-ups, saying the enemies of Allah should have their heads chopped off.
If the reaction to the YouTube film were not so violent and so disturbing in its ramifications you could dismiss it as the most scathing movie review of all time.
Nothing about it has been remotely amusing. We have seen buildings torched across the Middle East, crazed crowds laying siege to American embassies throughout the western world, including in Australia where bottles and punches were thrown at police in broad daylight in Sydney.
The only reassuring aspect to this whole affair was the swift and unequivocal condemnation from pretty much every key Islamic organisation in Australia. But that is what they always do... again and again and again.
The quotes are worth repeating. They have been hearteningly free of the excuses and double-speak which have undermined past public commentary from fellows such as Keysar Trad whenever relations have been tested by reprehensible conduct from the radicals in our midst, or dopey outbursts from the likes of Sheik Hilaly. Actually many have still fallen back on excuses.
In the past 48 hours, Samier Dandan from the Lebanese Muslim Association said "the violence that took place is not only condemned by the Lebanese Muslim Association but is condemned by all the Lebanese associations". Khaled Sukkarieh of the Islamic Council of New South Wales described the violence as "the action of boofheads". Mahaa Abodo from United Muslim Women said "what happened yesterday was un-Islamic". Un-Islamic? really? it seems to be the global trend.
It was condemned by the Affinity Foundation, the Turkish Muslim Association, and so on. There were some significant exceptions, such as those charmers at Hizb ut Tahrir, who were probably too busy at Sunday's "Khilafah" conference in the Sydney suburb of Bankstown predicting the rise of a global Islamic government to condemn their brothers for bashing Australian police.
They deny having had a role in the protest but their criticism of it has been at best equivocal.
If the reaction has confirmed that most Australian Muslims are appalled by this violence and the organisations which represent them are getting better at swiftly denouncing such conduct, the episode is also a reminder that, like so many other countries, we have a serious problem with an extremist Muslim hardcore in our suburbs. Deportation seems to be a nice word, I wonder how many have dual citizenship?
There have been calls for the people responsible for the violence to be deported.![]()
This would be terrific if they were neither Australian citizens nor permanent residents. Their actions would absolutely justify their immediate departure.
It is hard to imagine greater ingratitude from people who have sought refuge in Australia because of its quality of life, its social cohesion and its peace, for them to then turn around and behave in the most abominably anti-social way. Morons...
The reality, however, is many of these protesters were probably born here, and probably in the type of family environment where dragging your kid along to a protest advocating beheadings isn't seen as aberrant or appalling.
While the leaders of the world's democracies have been as one in condemning the violence, there is one feature of their rhetoric which is deeply irksome.
That is the vehemence with which so many of them have denounced a film which they probably haven't seen, and which none of us are ever likely to see.
US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton described the movie as "sinister", Prime Minister Julia Gillard called it "repulsive".
By bandying about these adjectives Western leaders are creating excuses and even encouraging the anger which is felt in the Muslim world. This just pandering to the Muslim world as an attempt at appeasement and pacification, because they are scared.
The message to anyone who is offended by it should be: so what, get over it. The answer to the (apparent) problem of impolite filmmaking shouldn't be tougher vilification laws or police investigations, but a clear message to the more unhinged practitioners of Islam that they should grow up.
There have been plenty of provocative or offensive or edgy depictions of Christ and Christianity throughout the modern age, from Life of Brian to The Last Temptation of Christ to that unpleasant painting with the charming name of Piss Christ. The world's Christians have got through it without burning buildings or cracking police skulls.
It might be impolite to say it but the past week has confirmed the view that, at its most radical, Islam is a few centuries behind the other faiths in the enlightenment stakes.
None of us should apologise for subscribing to post-Enlightenment principles such as free speech, even if that speech causes distress to those who lack the maturity to brush it off and get on with life.

Good grief."The people who did the protest last week and if they're thinking of doing a protest this week, that we're in danger of turning from victims to criminals," Dr Mohamed said through his interpreter.
We're the bloody victims, go back to the middle east.
