If Monk has decided not to front up and get his name marked off (in PROTEST at Gillard's stabbing) and to pay the $20 fine, good for him. 8-)
Well, gee, thanks for the praise Naffy!

But Rudd will be a disaster for the Party if he wins the election and has to be replaced again (and he will.) Not taking any part in that. Tony Abbott is going to be a total disaster and his govt will be a trainwreck! Look at his front bench! Anyway, I will NEVER vote for a stinking Lib!

I want NO part of this, so will not vote, not even cast a blank or spoiled ballot! I will not turn up, not have my name crossed off. I will pay the $20 fine tho they never chase you up (nobody will take you to court for an amount under $300, may be higher now) as I accept the consequences of my actions.

I have cast spoiled lower House ballots in the last 2-3 State elections because my local member is a dick, but cast a valid vote for the Upper House.

There you go. We agree on something.

They don't take you to court. They send the debt directly to the SDRO to chase up and if you don't pay it they cancel your vehicle registration and licence and charge you another $40 for the privilege.

Since I don’t live in NSW and since I intend to pay the $20 that doesn’t matter.

Not sure the AEC would do that, might happen for state elections.

I don't think he's very clued up on anything Orchid.

He's a demented ALP rusted-on has no real reason, beyond a baseless hatred for Liberals and people who dissent his and their opinion. He's probably a tribal voter, you know... my parents voted Labor and I'm gunna vote Labor so there... Latham said he'd teach his kids to hate, that what they do in the ALP.

It doesn't involve; thought, reason and logic.

I've no idea what they do in Sydney. Here in Canberra they sent me a threatening letter. *shrug*. I sent a cheque. Perhaps I am on the AFP files now as a naughty person who didn't vote ..... who cares!

MAINTAIN THE RAGE, Monk. Your one vote for the ALP in Adelaide won't make that much difference anyway. Good for you to stand up for what you believe in. I like that.

They take the same course of action here too. If you pay that's the end of it, but if you don't pay they send them off to the SDRO to enforce because they have the power to cancel your licence etc if you don't pay up on demand. Courts don't dabble in such trivial amounts.

Kevin is back to stealing Coalition policies again. (more policy on the run)

Now he's going to develop the North of Australia.

Mind you when Abbott mentioned it ages ago that idiot Bradbury and a plethora of ALP stooges poo-pooed the idea.

Labor to lose by 22 seats: new analysis
August 15, 2013 - 3:17PM
Jason Murphy and Edmund Tadros

Labor won't have to stay up late on the evening of September 7 for the bad news of the electoral result, according to a new analysis of betting market odds.

Prime Minister Kevin Rudd's party will lose the election by 22 seats, collecting 63 seats to the oppositions's 85, according to analysis done for The Australian Financial Review by statisticians Kaighin McColl and Leng Lee.

The analysis is based on betting data from August 11.

The number of seats Labor is expected to win dropped from 65 to 63 in the five days between August 6 and August 11.

Mr McColl notes that the ALP has now slid backwards twice since the analysis began.

“It is still early days, but the ALP has consistently been a long way behind according to the electorate-level betting data. What they've had going for them is momentum. That momentum appears to be slowing or reversing,” he said.

The analysis, which takes betting market data and subjects it to an algorithmic process known as Monte Carlo simulation in order to determine odds, predicts just two seats will be won by non-major parties.

Andrew Wilkie looks set to be returned in the Tasmanian seat of Denison (75 per cent chance), while Queenslanders in the seat of Kennedy will continue to back Bob Katter (84 per cent chance), the analysis suggests.

But the Greens are not wholly out of the race for the lower house. Labor is just a 54 per cent chance of winning the seat of Melbourne, leaving incumbent Adam Bandt in the hunt.

Meanwhile, a much-shared video showing Liberal candidate Jaymes Diaz unable to name the six points of the Coalition's plan to stop the boats has done him little damage. Which shows just how on the nose Labor is.

The candidate has a 63 per cent chance of representing the seat of Greenway in the next Parliament, according to the analysis.
