Now they are setting up yet another special task force to deal with them. We can add that to the half a dozen middle eastern task forces we already have.

A police officer has been taken to hospital after being slashed in the neck and hand in Sydney’s south-west.

NSW Police confirmed officers from the Liverpool City Area Command were at a home on Heckenberg Avenue in Sadleir in a relation to a warrant when the incident occurred about 7am.

While serving the warrant, a man allegedly stabbed a male officer in the hand and slashed his neck.

The 24-year-old officer has since been taken to Liverpool Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Two men were arrested at the scene and are currently at Liverpool Police Station.

A horrifying attack on a young woman was captured on CCTV.

A 21-year-old woman was walking to her car in Wolli Creek in Sydney's south-east on Sunday when she was set upon by two teenagers. The teens allegedly demanded her handbag. She refused and attempted to walk past them.

The pair however allegedly grabbed her by the arms and handbag and threw her to the ground.

While the woman tried to fight them off, the boys allegedly kicked her in the stomach and chest multiple times until she let the bag free.

Both teens then fled the scene.

Security officers contacted police who attended the area and established a crime scene. The woman was taken to St George Hospital, where she received treatment for stomach and back injuries.

Police arrested and charged two 14-year-old boys on Monday evening. They were refused bail and will appear in Campbelltown Children’s Court on Tuesday.

Two men are recovering in hospital after a group broke into their south-west Sydney home and attacked them with bats and shovels.

Police were called to a home on Hitter Avenue, Casula, just before 11 last night and were told four to five men wearing dark coloured clothing entered the home and began attacking them with bars.

A 20-year-old woman and a 12-month-old baby were also inside the property but were unharmed.

The men, aged 22 and 18, were forced into the back yard before being further attacked with shovels before the intruders made off with property and cash.

The injured men were taken to hospital in a stable condition, with the teenager suffering suspected arm and rib fractures.
Police believe it may have been a targeted attack but are asking for anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.

Police are investigating what happened to a man who was found so badly injured they thought he had been shot.

Officers were called to a unit block in Wentworth Point at around 8.30 last night following reports a man had suffered serious head injuries.

Emergency services treated the 53-year-old at the Marine Parade unit before transferring him to hospital.

At a press conference today, Detective Inspector Chris Laird said initial reports suggested the man had been shot.

However, he confirmed the victim had received a number of blunt force wounds to his head and face.

The man has undergone since emergency surgery and remains in a serious condition.

Det Insp Laird said the man is assisting police as was his 23-year-old companion.

A man has been attacked with a spoon and robbed by three men of 'African appearance' after trying to sell his mobile phone online.

The 29-year-old victim was in a unit on Newman Street in the western Sydney suburb of Merrylands with three other men about 7.30pm on Wednesday.

Three men stormed into the unit, attacked the 29-year-old and another man with a large spoon before stealing the mobile phone.

One of the men, 30, received a phone call from someone who they believed wanted to buy a phone they had advertised online.

When he left the unit and saw three men waiting out the front, he became concerned and returned to the unit.

The man gave his phone to the victim who went out the front of the unit and was confronted by the three men waiting outside.

The men forcefully entered the unit and assaulted the victim and another man, 20, with a large spoon they had taken from the kitchen.

The three men stole the phone, another phone and a laptop before fleeing the scene.

Man's ear partially severed
A man's ear has been partially severed during an attack at a home in Sydney's south-west.

Police were called to the home on Paxton Avenue, Belmore about 11pm following reports of the attack. On arrival officers spotted a man on the street with serious laceration on his ear

He was treated at the scene before being taken to Canterbury Hospital for surgery.

Police are searching for a man — described as Asian in appearance — spotted running from the area.
