As much as I like Peter, Workchoices was his baby and Tony spoke against it.
I doubt Peter was a better academic than Tony, he was never a Rhodes scholar and his "expertise" was in law, he was a barrister. He was counsel in some of Australia’s best-known industrial disputes and was a regular advocate in National Wage cases. Hence Workchoices I suppose.

But as a Labor stooge, if you prefer Peter over Tony that's your choice.
