Come now Bartholomew, you're the one that says that the gap between rich and poor is increasing, and that it's a problem. What solution, to raise up the poor, would be acceptable to you?

You've ruled out taxing the rich.
You play dumb when increasing wages for the poor is suggested.

What's the alternative... or is it suddenly not really a problem you want dealt with?

Aaaah so you actually have made a suggestion of increasing wages .....but only for the poor

Have you thought about that, that is what would be involved? If so then how about elaborating on that aspect or are you going to play dumb?

My suggestion is that the super rich get taxed... I'm trying to work out what your superior alternative is... one that wont affect pensioners (or did you mean self funded retirees?).

And this is a different approach to simply "just increase the lower end of the wage scale then"
and having "a super profits tax"
