The bible defines how a christian must act. How we act defines our label. Those who do not act according to the bible's Divine Morality cannot be labelled Christian.

Exactly Monk... that is exactly correct. And what Christ preached was Divine Morality. What God demands, which Jesus did not vary and merely explained in a different way, was Divine Morality.

Divine Morality states that Human life is sacred. Christians cannot dispute this. Yet equally there are many, many self identified Christians who support euthanasia, abortion, capital punishment etc....

christianity is in the heart.

Actually Christianity is an intellectual pursuit... prayer, moral betterment, bible study etc... Faith in the existance of god is from the heart.

I'm not Christian and have not identified as Christian for a long, long time. Nor do I hold to any form of Divine Morality. I'm a Humanist with a capital 'H'.

I do have a deep respect for 'real' Christians however... because to follow divine morality leads most to a significant and meaningful... yet sometimes very difficult consequences to bare without praying for divine strength to help them through... and they get through wiser and stronger.
