If they did wear what they wear today when I was at school i would have had to walk around closley facing the wall the entire time. However for some reason i picked up a skill when i was a teenagerthat still remains with me. My mind eye can build an image of a women dressed to seeing her naked... I am sure it is in the DNA and a feature of all men.

Good point never thought of it like that but your right. it has to be part of the reasoning.

I do think however that it is time to remove that anathema of social status... the tie.
Now that is just too socialistic Sappho. Those who pay enormous fees to ensure their kids are recognised as exclusive would start a rebellion.

I like the look of ties though. I went to a public co-ed infants and primary school and it was mandatory to wear ties with our box tunics, stockings & blazers from kindy onwards. It doesn't seem that long ago that public schools did compete with private schools in dress code.

Today public school kids look pretty scruffy generally so maybe this tax break will encourage kids with their parents' support to take a bit more pride in wearing a uniform.

Exclusivity is not so much defined by the tie now. Many professions have removed it from the dress code. Pity the parents who would think that IT, science, engineering, architecture, medicine etc etc are not exclusive enough for precious.

Oh well... the school tie kiddies can always aspire to law and corporate buzinezz.

Nothing wrong with school uniforms but I like the way my school goes about it - the school t-shirt and jumper are compulsory but you're free to wear whatever trousers you like as long as it's the school colours. I like it because the kids wear the brands they love and they can be individuals unlike the drones of the private school borg collective.

The kids look more like clones than ever with their brand name clothes worn as a uniform and it takes a toll on the parents who have to buy them. I doubt this tax rebate will subsidise fashion - uniforms will have to be bought from the school or specialised retail outlets.

Kids look good when they've got the right uniform on. It looks like the parents and kids care a bit more.

I think all female students should be required to wear those school uniform skirts but only after the age of consent.

I don't think the uniforms they wear for porn shoots are standard issue, Frogs. Sorry to kill the dream :P

See, this is what is wrong with our educational system, it does not prepared our kids for real life!
