It would hardly be the first time.
Kudos to Trump and Morrison for calling B.S. on WHO and its servile leader.
No need to march into Beijing -- Trump could do a lot more damage by providing incentives for U.S. manufacturers to leave China and return to American soil.brian ross wrote: ↑Wed Apr 15, 2020 11:27 pmI suppose you believe that WHO should just do the bidding of el Presidente' Trump and march into Beijing and tell the Chinese when to jump, I take it.
And by spotlighting China's reckless behavior in first allowing the virus to escape their lab (as is now being reported) and then failing to provide honest information about the outbreak. Tens of thousands of people died as a result, and the world should know why.
WHO had a responsibility to tell the truth about the coronavirus, and instead it went to bat for the Chinese, even declaring that Trump shouldn't have blocked Chinese flights from landing in America.brian ross wrote: ↑Wed Apr 15, 2020 11:27 pmYou really need to learn a lot about how the world really operates, 4E. You, and Morrison and Trump are acting like children who got some bad news. WHO acts on the information it receives from it's member states. It doesn't have independent intelligence gathering teams who spy on member states.
That's not a health organization; that's a P.R. firm. And American taxpayers have no reason nor obligation to support it with our tax money.
But look, the Chinese are rich. WHO should ask them to make up the difference.
Sorry, I can't forget what never happened.brian ross wrote: ↑Wed Apr 15, 2020 11:27 pmForgotten how Trump downplayed and ignored the COVID-19 virus until it was shoved into his face by the "fake news" outlets? Tsk, tsk. Such a shame that he was caught lying, yet again.
Sure, Trump downplayed and ignored the virus so much that in late January he called for a ban on incoming flights from China -- which was promptly condemned by genius Joe Biden as "hysterically xenophobic." Guess Trump should have listened to the Democrats' presidential candidate, ya think?
And a month after Trump started turning away Chinese flights, Democrat Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi was busy inviting people to San Francisco's Chinatown. Worse yet, Pelosi spent the entire month of January trying to impeach Trump when she knew full well it would never be approved in the Senate.
So you'll pardon me if I laugh at the left's claims of Trump reacting too slowly to the coronavirus. In their desperation to regain power, they've been trying to remove him since the day was elected. You can see how well they've succeeded.
Since when did I ever tell Australians how to live their lives?brian ross wrote: ↑Wed Apr 15, 2020 11:27 pmOh, and when have you lived downunder again? Never? Yet you're telling us how to live our lives here.
Saying "Kudos to Morrison" is merely an expression of my own personal opinion. I don't see any advice for better living in that sentence, but you're welcome to tell the class what evil intentions lurk among those seemingly innocuous spaces between the words!
