The difference between communism and socialism is like the difference between an orange and a mandarin.
Considering they are different species of fruit and of course, taste rather different, I fail to see how your simile applies here, except in agreement with my viewpoint.
No mutton head they're both citrus and taste pretty much the same. I should know, I currently pick citrus for a living.
The only real difference is one's encompassing and the other is sectionalised.
The simile applies because communism is encompassing like an orange, and socialism is sectionalised like a mandarin with wanky govt depts to make is appear slightly different.
Your viewpoint is based on parasitic fantasy.
Oh, dearie, dearie, me. Even you admit that they taste different, when you stated, "hey're both citrus and taste pretty much the same." "Pretty much the same" doesn't mean they are the same, just similar. I am unsure why you are continuing with this fantasy of yours when you've just shot yourself in the foot for the second time.
I was never a Thatcher fan but one thing she said was quite profound ...
"The problem with socialism is sooner or later you run out of other people's money".
Thatcher's problem was the UK accounting system which still carried assets which in any sane accounting system would have been written off over a hundred years ago. Thatcher's main issue was with paying for assets which were no longer in productive use. The "other peoples' money" belonged to the people of the UK and really, I cannot see a more productive use for it than to provide employment for the UK. As a friend of mine remarked, after he'd have a conversation with the then Exchequer, Nigel Lawson, "perhaps we shouldn't have scrapped all of the UK's steel and coal industries..."

How many people have died needlessly due to unfettered capitalism? Countless... fucking countless. So no one bothers.
I'm sure your half a brain is all you need to think your attempt at moral equivalency is some kind of defence against your evil fucking ideology.
It's a shame your missing the other half which obviously takes care of logic and numeracy.
I hope youre ready for the revolution comrade. I suggest lots of long distance sprint training.
Your lot will be first on the list of invasive feral parasites destined for removal.
What? People are bitches. Capitalists have killed countless millions, communists also. Only a rusted on cheerleader would argue otherwise.
Are you threatening to kill off dissenters? That would be ironic...

Capitalists? Would barely measure a blip compared to your hero's...
Do their names rank anywhere near the lefty list of heros for mass murder?

I look at it this way >
We live in a violent world where virtually all life forms compete with almost everything else.
Capitalism is natural, potentially cruel yes, but natural.
Communism and its euphemistic alias socialism is un-natural because it seeks to prohibit competition within but competes with capitalism and is vindictive to its non conformists for the sake of its elite's image and/or reputation.
Capitalism is subject to scrutiny and criticism.
Communism/socialism cannot tolerate scrutiny and criticism.
I grew up brainwashed about the evil capitalist mass murdering dictators in South America, the Phillipines and Spain.
Then I had a look at history and contemporary revolutions.
Admittedly Hitler was a capitalist using the guise of (nationalist) socialism.
Stalin was a bank robber come committed communist in a regime calling itself socialist.
Pol Pot was an avowed communist.
These 3 characters had more people killed than any other in known history, and 2 were vegetarians.
Q: If communism/socialism is so wonderful, why have literally millions of people risked their existence to escape it?
A: Because it's sadistic.
If Donald Trump is so close to the Ruskis, why couldn't he get Vladimir Putin to put novichok in Xi Jjinping's lipstick?

Why's that? ... Are you implying "welfare is socialist"?
If so you're implying that the Roman Republic was socialist.
Ancient Rome invented the dole because so many people got in debt to the priest bankers, became dispossessed of their assets, began loitering in the city market place and were referred to as "the mob" that the senate feared if the mob began robbing the merchants, the merchants would stop going to Rome and the economy would collapse.
Welfare was invented by capitalists.
