Why would you expect a balanced or fair debate going on there. Saw an ad with Trioli being more biased than Jones usually is... believe me that takes some bias. Also saw a woman in the audience spouting labor rhetoric straight from the Labor playbook.... totally stacked.

The question and his answer spoke about different debts.... government debt and national debt.

Now listen carefully.... politics can roughly be divided into 4 basic groups... LW, RW, Conservative and Progressive... they are all different things...
You can have LW Conservatives (like me), RW Conservatives, LW Progressives and RW Progressives. Almost every test/quiz on politics breaks political identity up into those groups. LW vs RW is not the same as Conservatives vs Progressives. The ALP now call themselves the Progressive Party, not the People's party... because they have purged most Conservatives out of their parliamentary party and seek to attract Green votes.... The Liberals have what are known as Wets and Dries, the Wets call themselves Moderates and they are RW Progressives the Dries are RW Conservatives.

One can only hope you've learned something...
