Now that I no longer have a mortgage - for personal reasons I would love to see 18% interest rates again.

Yes - China has the sacrificial numbers - we don't. America's professional troops are burnt out leaving only the young cowboys who get their training from video games and a few demented old men to lead them. Australia hasn't got an adequate number of troops, nor do we have the sophisticated weaponry needed to fight China. They could force their occupation on Australia just by military volume alone. We've humoured them for years just to avoid such a conflict. Trump could disable our international diplomatic treaties in a matter of months if he thinks it will benefit him personally.

We paid over 18% when we had our first mortgage too. It wasn't easy.

Seriously?

We're an inventive lot. We created the "......? storm", an electric device (no propellant like gun powder) that fires over a million projectiles a minute. We invented the 20mm grenade and launcher which is accurate at 800 metres with shrapnel that penetrates 1/4 inch steel.
In WW2 a bloke in Wollongong invented and built the 1st Owen Gun on a milling machine and lathe in a coal mine.

Someone or more likely an org is treating you like a mushroom Mantra, keeping you in the dark and feeding you nothing but bullshit.

Several months ago 3 bus loads of US marines stopped in Gin Gin on their way from Shoalwater Bay to Brisbane.
While queued up at a servo I spoke with some of them and they didn't seem like cowboys. They seemed like reasonably well adjusted city boys and Latinos. The exception being a fat girl who gave me a grumpy look.
I noticed they had mismatching camouflage, thinking some were army as I recognised the computer print as Marines.
Turned out they were all Marines, which is undergoing a uniform change. I asked "What's the idea behind the computer print? .. Is it to fool digital targeting gadgets?"
A Latino bearing a typical American accent and wearing the computer print explained the uniform change and replied "Somebody thought this was the best camouflage, but really it doesn't hide shit unless you're in a rock quarry".
I asked "Are there war games on?" and one replied "Yeah, we're doing a bit of training with the Australian Army"

Yes they do use computer games, but they also do old style training with live ammo and train with many allies including our troops.
It is Europeans, like Germans I've spoken with who use simulators (no ammo) only for training.

We humour them for the same reason we humour the Arabs, because we want their money.
We have more sophisticated equipment than the Chinese and more combat experienced troops.
China got beaten by Vietnam, China is all bluff.
If Donald Trump is so close to the Ruskis, why couldn't he get Vladimir Putin to put novichok in Xi Jjinping's lipstick?

Monitoring the Impact of Trump on the World ?

One word simply, AWESOME.

The kicker is watching all the leftards crying and seeking therapy online and at school for all the worlds problems that purely reside in their widdle heads.

I can't wait until they see the latest on global warming where all their models were screwed. Long live Lord Monkton. The poor little snowflakes will burst into tears for another 10 years over that one too.

President Elect TRUMP draining the swamp, one lefttard at a time.

Well another 8 years of global warming will just create a greater need when the evidence starts/continues to reflect the latest models. Trump will try to run the US like a business. Well it is more like a business than a country anyway.

Your religion is coming apart at the seams. El Nino kept your desperate hopes alive but with La Nina and the feedbacks evidence showing the models have been completely wrong in forecasting "dangerous" warming, the AGW scare is over.

Say goodbye to your lil friend...

A curious impact of Trump- the "tolerant" left turn racist once they find out Kanye West will perform at Trumps inauguration.

I really had no idea who this Kanye was, except that he had something do with that other bunch of Yank
Bogans with names starting with a "K" who have a TV show which I have never seen.

Anyway, I just checked and he is a RAPPER? Un-fucking-believable!

Sounds like he is RACIST too ... "hates" white people.

The YouTube thing is screwed. :(

Kanye West is a no talent big mouthed jerk. He reminds me of Anthony Mundine on steroids.

Tried posting this yesterday but the WiFi keept dropping out.

Tried getting an Australian article 'Donald Trump could be our best friend ever' but the pay wall got in the way.

Anyway according to Kim "Bomber" Beazley and a former advisor to George "Dubya" Bush what we (Oz) says has more
clout and credibility than anyone else on the planet. Apparently we scrub up pretty well as a military ally too.
Incoming "Mad Dog" secretary of defence is reputed to have said "I'd storm hell itself with you (Ozzy troops) on our right flank".
If Donald Trump is so close to the Ruskis, why couldn't he get Vladimir Putin to put novichok in Xi Jjinping's lipstick?
