Abbott's policies only cater to those on good incomes. There is nothing in his spruiking which indicates he will help people on struggle street. Penalty rates will go and the new current tax base of $20,000 will be repealed. An austerity package which is what he will aim for will only hurt those on low incomes.

Didn't Abbott say he was going to keep all the compensation measures introduced by Labor?

A Coalition government will keep the current income tax thresholds and the current pension and benefit fortnightly rates while scrapping the carbon tax.

The carbon tax will go but no one’s personal tax will go up and no one’s fortnightly pension or benefit will go down.

Pretty much is, although being in Canblurragh I can understand it would be fairly isolated from normal Australians that have built up a raging hate for the ALP and their insipid sycophantic supporters.
