I doubt any new technology will surpass fibre. True, sometime in the next 30 years quantum computers will come to the fore—but to communicate they will need a waveguide and FO is a wave guide without peer.

Christ, BT is moving from the dead end of FTTN to FTTH.

GEOLOGY = study of rocks.

Monk has never, ever worked as a Geologist although he claims to have a degree in Geology. I presume he would have attained this Degree back in the 60's, in Adelaide. ;)

He has been a Public Servant with the South Australia State Government, run his "own business" as something or other. Plus the failed HBS. He knows nothing about computers, women, but is an expert on the ALP, food, digging and animal husbandry.

You really are an idiot and make huge baseless assumptions.

In 1979 I bought my first PC. Six years later I bought a compiler from a company that had only one vendor here in Adelaide, an accountant in outer suburban Adelaide. The compiler was BASCOM and it was a compiler developed by a company I think even you might have heard of, Microsoft.

Owning your first PC in 79 was not the argument. A Degree in Rocks is. Annie thinks a Degree in Rocks is important, why don't you? Someone like IQ and SN know you are a lying sod when all you have is a Degree in Rocks. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geology

EVERYONE loves Monk ...... Life of the Pardy and so forth. He just never found a way to become one of the boys, so cooks, cleans and gardens instead. That's good, right?

"I doubt any new technology will surpass fibre" - stupid statement

BT is a private enterprise company, not a government white elephant programme with a monopoly.

And,

Big deal you owned a PC that is the bases of other peoples understanding of the technology. If you ever programmed real-time embedded systems and built you own operating system I may accept you know what you are talking about. Using someone else's technology.

So do you when you drive your car to work. Unlike others here, I never pretended to work in IT. The compiler was used to compile an invoicing program I had written, cocksucker.

Fibre can conduct 65Terabytes per second, be a looooonnnnngggggg time before we need anything better I reckon.

:rofl
Compiling a program that never gets tested is pretty easy- in your case it didn't matter matter if it never worked
Do until
Go broke
If drunk
Else fall asleep
End if
