Thanks Orchid. That is exactly what I was getting at by stating "it has begun". Gillard is pre-empting the Caucus and doing her own thing in "preparation" for the next Federal Election. I just hope the Victorian Police move quickly so that she is NOT able to run.

If that was what you were getting at, you could have said so on the first page of the Thread when I asked you. What the hell has the Peres 'anointment' got to do with the Caucus? Do you know what the Caucus is....have any idea at all?

You are an absolute fuckwit, Aussie, that is why I don't bother answering most of your idiotic questions. The person's name is Nova Peris. If you are going to argue a point at least get the name correct. Fuckwit.

Gillard "appointed" Nova Peris WITHOUT Caucus approval ... i.e. the rest of the Labor Government. Do YOU get what that means? Gillard also "sacked" the current (voted in by the people) Senator. Who the fuck does Gillard think she is?) I would be as mad as a boil if I had voted for Crossin or whatever her name is. Hope that she can sue Gillard.

Hopefully, Gillard will not be around much longer. There is something going on about fraud and, as you well know, Aussie, there is no statute of limitations for a criminal act in Australia. So saying you were "you and naive" is no defence. ;)

She cannot sue Gillard....and the Caucus' 'approval' is never necessary when a candidate is selected to be an ALP candidate.

What had been a pre-requisite qualification for endorsement as an ALP election candidate is Membership of the Party for three years. Peris is not a Member of the ALP. If you had taken that position, what you are spewing might make some sense.

Gillard has taken a 'leadership' position....and has publicly personally 'anointed' Peris as a 'Captain's choice'...........and asked the ALP Party Executive to sort out the lack of membership issue....which is an internal ALP matter. I doubt she would have gone public if she did not already have all the necessary ducks lined up.

It will be a testament to.....and test of.... her clout within the ALP at the moment if they do as she has asked.

Seems the racist version of the blackening is spot on for Jizzard.

I wonder how Peris feels being the token abo in the ALP, appointed for no other reason than the colour of her skin?

The other sheila should sue for discrimination

The indigenous Ms Anderson - a former NT Labor minister - said Ms Peris would be a "maid to do the sheets and serve the cups of teas".
I wonder if Jizzard will insist on her new pet monkey calling her ma'am?

Marion Scrymgour, Australia's first indigenous female minister, had already said she would run against Crossin for preselection and may, or may not, have won on her own merit. Pity she won't get the chance to find out. Peris's endorsement as the new Messiah for the NT is an embarrassment to the Aboriginal senators who have actually worked hard and earned their place there.

Gillard's chose Peris for her 'incredible merit'? She has 'activist' listed as her occupation, and sold her gold medal to the National Museum for personal gain. Some 'incredible merit' she has going on there. For crying out loud, she isn't even an ALP member yet.

Just because Gillard came to power with a knife and a deal she thinks that is how things are done. She may not be upsetting the likes of Aussie but she has certainly upset quite a few in her own party. Rightly so.

Gillard is shaping up to face the biggest loss in Australian history.

Just imagine if Abbott did that? We wouldn't hear the end of it
