Still waiting to see the evidence for 35% mantra. Best you get onto Green Central again. They have let you down so far.

You said this:
About 35% of the country - possibly more, is foreign owned.
35% of the country.....................unqualified.......................country.

More evidence of how toxic you are. You just make things up....no matter the subject.

Read the DT article, lots of scary stuff (as if) but no % of foreign owned land. That map just shows a few dots, NOT 35%.

Do you have an alternative? Many farmers are over 60 but their kids have spurned rural life and moved to the city. Each of those purchases had a willing seller you know.

Monky Boy, you are a true Labor Progressive.
First to toss the "r" word eh.
Like most of your lot, you probably don't even know what it really means.

Monk is an immigrant, so no doubt he has a different view on multiculturalism. Anyone who doesn't embrace it fully or believes that foreign nations or corporations shouldn't be able to buy up our agricultural land to feed/clothe their own people is a racist.

Cubbie Station is being purchased to make quality suits for wealthy Chinese businessmen. As the cotton is going directly to China - they will not be subject to any taxes. We had problems years ago with Cubbie station hogging the water to the detriment of farms downstream and it will get worse.

It should have been purchased by the government in the national interest - or at least leased only to the Chinese.

Yes, I don't believe we should sell off any of Australia to foreigners. But I would allow a lease.
Imagine Cubbie hording water in a bad drought, the impact downstream would be devastating. Would the Chinese be aware of our climate and weather patterns would they even care?

Monk's reference to me was uncalled for. No need for you to butt in either. ;)
