With our Champaign socialists, political donations, vested, mutual business interests are everything.

The Bryce family have their fingers in allot of things, including our becoming a "republic' Australia and an NBN.

No wonder they would have preferred a Malcolm Turnbull...in fact, I think he's GG Bryces bastard love child.

Recall this speech ....though have political donations become more transparent since this pledge?
That has to be a joke. I mean Turnbull and Bryce are in about/roughly the same age group. The link seems not to lead me anywhere, and you have not explained how Bryce is able to influence the outcome of a Labor Caucus vote.

I am aware of how old she and Malcolm are... Bryce was born in 1942 and Turnbull in 1954.

Ps, the speech link works fine, try it again.

Re, influencing the caucus vote... like I said, the Bryce family have their financial interests vested deeply in Labor policy, of course, you could read this, paying particular attention to the following.....
However, there are some powers which the Governor-General may, in certain circumstances, exercise without – or contrary to – ministerial advice. These are known as the reserve powers. While the reserve powers are not codified as such, they are generally agreed to at least include:

1. The power to appoint a Prime Minister if an election has resulted in a ‘hung parliament’;

2. The power to dismiss a Prime Minister where he or she has lost the confidence of the Parliament;

3. The power to dismiss a Prime Minister or Minister when he or she is acting unlawfully; and

4. The power to refuse to dissolve the House of Representatives despite a request from the Prime Minister.

Would you say Gillard is well on the way to losing the confidence of parliament, given it's clear, she's already lost the confidence of the Australian public?

If so, Shorten is next cab off the rank, now all mummy-in-law GG Bryce has to do is exercise her reserve powers.

Though, I doubt this will be necessary, I think Gillard will step aside voluntarily having already scammed her prime-ministerial pension at the expense of the Australian tax payer.

Go Mellie, Go! :purple

Anyone who thinks Turnbull would be a good Liberal Leader is a Greenie and delusional. It will NOT happen. We are extremely impressed with Tony Abbott, Australia's next Prime Minister. :mrgreen:

You mean out of the blue, sack Gillard and appoint Shorten?

How does she alone manage that?

Fuck off Nef.

The GG doesn't have the power to make anyone PM, without support in the parliament. Mellie is talking shit, as usual.

:rofl :rofl Yes,Sir! Mista Boxhead, Sir!

I doubt that the GG even has that "power", Boxy. It is all hidden in the Constitution. The lawyers who wrote it knew what they were doing. The PEOPLE have (supposedly) the Power via their voting rights. The GG is a Figurehead and only important in her DREAMS. :hot

Of course she doesn't 'technically', but I think you and caucus will find her rather persuasive. Like I said, the Bryces have their fingers in allot of things, a NBN and pharmaceutical company's just being a couple of them.

I Think Shorten will come in after Abbott becomes PM, not before.

But rest assured, Shorten is well and truly in the pipes, this and has himself positioned well to take the leadership when Gillard steps aside.

He has wanted this for such a very long time, by any chance, have any of you read his first speech upon entering federal parliament?

It's actually quite comical. :rofl

Shorten is a lot like Malcolm Turnbull ..a treacherous Champaign socialist turncoat and not at all Australian.

Just see if I am wrong ...

8-)
