That's true. Toni Hoffman, head ICU nurse did report him! And all the nurses were complaining as well. But you have to understand that there is a hospital hierarchy (just like the police hierarchy) with the doctors at the top. The hospital management didn't want to know. He was doing so many operations as Head of Surgery that was all that mattered.
Yet a simple Google search would have turned up the horrifying fact that he was banned from doing surgery in the US because of his gross negligence and incompetence. That's why he came to Qld.
Toni Hoffmann paid the price. It did see the back of Jayant Patel and he's been jailed and barred from ever practising medicine again in Australia. However Toni Hoffman found it difficult to continue at Bundaberg Hospital because of the hierarchy. Being a whistleblower comes with a financial loss of income and superannuation and she suffered professionally and personally. She did eventually get a compensation payout from Qld Health.
She went on to teach Nursing at Central Qld University and was made a Member of the Order of Australia and awarded the Pride of Australia Medal for protecting and advocating for patient safety.
She was an inspiration to us nurses.

Teal MP suggests renting out spare bedrooms to ‘complete strangers’
May 5, 2024
Sky News host Paul Murray slams Teal MP Allegra Spender for a “fairly stupid idea” to rent out spare bedrooms to a “complete stranger”.
“A fairly wealthy lady has had a fairly stupid idea,” he said.
“Back to Allegra Spender, now of course the Teal MP who represents the seat of Wentworth.
“She has got an idea, you should be able to rent out your spare bedroom in your mansion.
“That will solve the housing crisis, apparently.”
Of course you would expect a stupid idea like this from a useless wealthy politician who has never experienced a housing crisis in their life and never will.
Let's hope her fellow Teal on the Northern Beaches comes up with something better. Dr Sophie Scamps who is the MP for the northern part of the beaches - Mackellar - is going to host a People's Jury on Housing to find solutions to the housing crisis in Mackellar which faces some of the most expensive housing costs in the country. Young people and essential workers are finding it almost impossible to afford living in the area.
Now down on the southern part of the Northern Beaches is my Warringah MP Zali Steggall - another Teal. And this area faces exactly the same situation as Mackellar. But has Zali come up with any solutions? Nope - she is another wealthy one who has never had to worry about housing in her life. She was privately schooled at an elite school in Mosman and her family were so wealthy they could decamp to France for years and years so that she could achieve her goal as a winter Olympian. She won the bronze medal in the downhill slalom. A very wealthy family.
I've brought up the issue of foreign nationals buying up our housing a few times with her but although she comes out with some platitudes, her main concern is climate change, etc. Although she promises me she is "very concerned" although she doesn't actually do or say anything about it. I'm concerned because of the fact that the housing crisis is caused by high immigration - in fact I've been bringing this up with Zali for years!!! And I think she is only now starting to realise there IS a problem! Now I don't have a housing problem and never will - but I do have a social conscience and I am concerned for our grandchildren in the future. If this high immigration is allowed to continue as Labor, and to a lesser extent the Liberals want, we will never have housing equity in this country. And our grandchildren and their children will never be able to buy a house for themselves when foreign nationals like Chinese billionaires can just walk in and buy up all our housing stocks.
You would have to ask yourself .... is there any benefit in being an Australian?

It's all caused by Labor's mass, uncontrolled immigration.
I believe it will be 1 million new immigrants for 2024.
Labor just wants to stay in power - even if the country is ruined.
Halfwits vote for them no matter how much their lives are destroyed.

The Medical Industry, any Industry - they all break down to the priority of 'legalities' and this is supported by the 'administrations'.

They were almost boasting on the news the other night about the high percentage of Chinese buying up property in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. They seemed to have no problem with it.

They're happy about it because Australians can't afford to buy and the others from overseas can.

A lot of the money for houses is dirty money that
was washed in Australian casinos - especially Chinese millionaires.
How can that be a level playing field for Aussie's?
