I'm teaching my kids to think for themselves, and not rely on what the 'govt'. or anyone else teaches them. I realise that may be a strange concept for you and that is most likely where your real problem is.

i know exactly what my kids are being taught at school. My job as a parent to to teach them to To question what they are told, not just swallow what they're told but to think about it and form their own opinions.

Parties develop policies, sometimes just individuals do.
Societies rarely get policies they demand.

I am sure some of them came from backgrounds were Dad/Grandpa worked in the Mines from age 12 and they went without food and a warm bed, clean clothes and etcetera. The mindset is still the same, just now they have been able to get a job and a Mortgage and a car and a washing machine. It could take another 100 years before they feel "equal".

I'm not anti government you lying sack of shit. The libs develop polices according to the demands of their donors ... their donors form a part of society.
Occasionally govt. develops policy opposed to society but that is usually short term and then future governments adjust the legislation to be more in keeping with societies demands.
