Geesus H Keerist, the idiot Abbott just launched a “new” policy—cut in company tax of 1.5%. Have I heard of that before? Oh yeah—the idiot proposed that in 2010! Supposed to offset his tax, err levy, levy {smacks own wrist} to pay for his PPL scheme that values a few babies more than the other 99%!

Regardless, the PPL TAX will raise costs for every business, large and small. Of course, as I pointed out before, it means a lot of women will find the absence of child care prevents them returning to work.

Cutting company tax won’t do anything to stimulate confidence, of course! The Celtic Tiger had company tax of just 10% but is still a basket case now. But, who would expect better from an idiot like Abbott?

Vics urge Abbott to overhaul IR

State Treasurer Michael O’Brien has ramped up demands for a far-reaching industrial relations overhaul if Tony Abbott wins the election, including a return to individual contracts and restrictions on union access to workplaces.

In a significant intervention just days into the federal election campaign, Mr O’Brien used a speech to the Australian Industry Group to warn that retrograde workplace relations changes since the dismantling of WorkChoices had left Australia with a ”pre-Keating” industrial landscape.

No mention of the improvement in labor productivity of course.
