Well, you are a liar and a forger.

You have never presented any real evidence, just crap. You OTOH have never, ever looked up latency, spectrum issues, contention and so forth.

Why are all these countries running out FTTH you think?

You get me wrong again Monk. I conceed fibre is the best technological solution, I argue it is a waste of money. I also argue that our usage of technology is changing and mobility will become more important so FTTH will be less important.

NBN is not value for money.

But you conceded the NBN would back-connect the wireless towers!

A proportion of the population may be on the move a lot of the time but even they watch movies at home (home theaters a booming business) or work in an office etc.

Wireless will always be a minor supplement to fixed line.

Yes, as it should be.

This I don't agree with. iPads and phones are become the favorite way to consume content. They are now mobile devices. FTTH is a waste of money in 90% or more of the cases. FTTB for large business or IT intensive businesses is worth while. They should pay for it. FTTH is overkill and a waste of money.

The real cost involved with the NBN is the cost of not doing it. We would slip further down the ladder in terms of business, education and the like.

The Nationals under Howard rorted $40Bn! The Auditor General released a report on the “Regional Partnerships” more commonly known as Regional Rorts! That money could have paid for an NBN!

The Libs are acknowledged to have wasted in pork barreling and unsustainable tax cuts $300Bn in mining boom phase 1. These are costs! The NBN is a terrific investment that will end the rural–city divide, end the loneliness of the bush and even reduce rural youth suicide.

You have no idea what you are talking about here!

You do realise that fixed line is carrying more and more of the data moving load? iPads and iPhones are proliferating but don’t move much data in relative terms.

You are wrong all down the line! You are an ignoramus!

Now your just trying to be funny.

Your real key justifications are: end the rural–city divide, end the loneliness of the bush and even reduce rural youth suicide

You're just pulling my leg. :rofl Good one. :thumb You cannot be serious. :beer

Those are real benefits. Maybe you have been out of Australia too long. Do you know the rural youth suicide rate? It is a national tragedy.

Do some real reading eh? I have given tons of benefits from the NBN. The waste and reckless spending under Howard was real.

I am closer to this technology than you think.

So you think NBN is a solution to youth suicide in the country. Young boys playing more games, posting when they go to the loo on Facebook and viewing porn on the net at a faster speed is going to help... tell me more.....

You know, in my day the solution was to get on the fucking train, leave home town and go to the city.
