Never run with the obvious... whilst the rumors stand to point towards Bernard Finnigan, given his recent resignation, or Mike Rann, the fact is, Finnigan is 39, the true offender is 38, unless police initially lied to the press when they advised the accused was 38...meaning they either intentionally tried to throw us off, or Finnigan is not our boy.

Given we can only work with facts, and given the facts state that the accused was indeed 38, then how can it be Finnigan?

Ok, I understand the suppression order, but would police go so far as to lie to the press, and dribble a false DOB to throw the press off his scent?

Suppression is one thing, but blatantly lying to the press is another matter entirely....

There are at least another 4 involved in the operational sting regardless...charged or not, they are involved.

He could be taking the fall...take a look at Finnigan, he looks a half a chromosome off a downey.

Also, this sting occurred months ago... operation Decimate has been in swing since 2006, so when they abruptly pushed Finnigan into the limelight, he was was only made a MP In Feb this year, they already had their guy, (more than one actually) so why would Labor place him on the pedestal knowing he was already under suspicion Feb this year knowing it would be a bad look for their party only weeks later?


Quite simply, they knew they needed a scape-goat, and fast, so put this retard in a suit and turned him into a MP overnight to break another (the real culprits) fall...


He resigned, and the real peeping "Tom's" career is spared.

Think about it.

Furthermore, the 'real' culprits name is just as likely to remain forever suppressed, thus "Finnigan" will remain the presumed culprit as far as the press are concerned, ie, he resigns, doesn't admit or deny it...so it's assumed he's the offender, when the real offenders career is quietly snuffed a little later on down the track or he remains on deck and the public remain none the wiser.


Furthermore, a MOI prevents the press from applying for the case facts under FOI, so this could remain a mystery for some time.

Operation Decimate, an initiative of the SA Police Sexual Crime Investigation Branch, has been running since February 2007.

If the MP is found guilty, he will have to resign their seat in Parliament because any MP found guilty of a crime carrying a penalty of more than two years has to resign.

The MP will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on May 20. It is understood Michael Abbott, QC, will represent the MP. (ANI)
