You and your friends might do all of the above Celetina - but don't throw everyone into that category. You have no idea what you're talking about and sound quite stupid making generalisations such as you just have. Many people, regardless of whether they support the Greens or not aren't as environmentally destructive as you infer the average Green voter to be.I'm no fan of the Greens and I am especially critical of the people who vote for them. In my experiences people who vote for the Greens think that's all they have to do to do their bit for the environment. Vote for the Greens then continue driving your fuel thirsty cars to the corner shop, have the heater and air conditioner on all the time, leave the lights on, use your mobile phone continuously, take the longest showers imaginable, leave your TV on all day, eat fast foods and on and on it goes. But it's okay because they voted for the Greens and participated in Earth Hour. The Greens know this but do fuck all to educate their own supporters on what idiots they are.
Now obviously not all Greens voters do this but I know too many who do. When they put their money where their mouths are then maybe I'll take this seriously.
Any one interested in a future votes Green

Indeed, as with your statements in support for human rights (when you perceive them violated by the US) and then defense of the rule of Saddam.
I imagine Ele when you type the world values your fingers burst into flame.

I have my opinion mantra which you must respect, just like I respect your opinions whether I agree with them or not. Accusing me of ignorance and stupidity for stating what I see from many (note: NOT ALL) Greens voters is quite humorous. I'm sure there are many Greens voters who are genuine but many are not and they're the ones who lecture me on being environmentally aware. They're the ones who make me critical of the Greens. However do continue with the generalisations and insults.mantra wrote:You and your friends might do all of the above Celetina - but don't throw everyone into that category. P.S I don't actually do what I accused others of doing in the previous post. Growing up in poverty meant saving as much energy, water and materials as possible, which I still do to this day because it's how I was brought up. Eco-friendliness was just a bonus in that regard. How about asking before accusing or is that too much to ask from you?
Re: Any one interested in a future votes Green
I think most Greens voters are much more involved and informed than voters for other parties, I think you'll find celi that people who vote Greens are people who get involved and protest against wrongs, practice what they preach as far as "saving the planet" and would have a much better understanding of the party and what it stands for than most party supporters or voters do.
Re: Any one interested in a future votes Green
As I said, I try to be green. However, I am not and never will be a Greens voter. Lots about that party is very unattractive.
Be green, discuss green issues (silly sheepy calls this the Womens Weekly PA but since he don't know much we should bear that title with pride: be green! People scared of change, like Sheepy and as Frogen has said he is, will try to drag us down but forget them.

Celetina - you were the one who made the generalisations and sweeping statements and I thought I responded quite mildly. I only said you sounded stupid, I didn't say you were and after reading previous posts of yours - most of them have appeared quite well thought out. In fact I usually agree with you.
Sorry if I offended you - it wasn't intentional, but sometimes like most humans, I get annoyed occasionally.

Vote for Bees eradicate them from the world and according to Albert Einstein you have about 4 days to live. Eradicate humans from the world and you eradicate a parasite which is trying to destroy the world.

That's probably because Einstein was a physicist, not an ecologistxbz wrote:Vote for Bees eradicate them from the world and according to Albert Einstein you have about 4 days to live. Eradicate humans from the world and you eradicate a parasite which is trying to destroy the world.
