The funny thing is I thought it was a great speach too, at first, and I'm glad it was made, but, after that speach I heard a man callede Obama make some speaches and he blew me away, I think Obama is the best orator I've ever heard.
AS for you boxy, kevvy isn't my hero but he is a billion times better than the rodent, as for what Rudd wil do for the cause, well I'd say if he did sweet fa he'd still be praised for what he' has already done, not that I think thats enough, but it was a bloody good start.

Let us hope Obama is more than pretty speeches, or we are well and truly utterly fucked!

His team includes economists who have a clue, a good start.

I fell asleep in my lounge chair so missed the actual inauguration :(

Yea, I planned to get up to watch it but for the first time in about five years I wasn't laying in bed at three in the morning wishing it was six o clock.
I think there is a repeat on ABC at midday I'll try and catch that.

Yes I love Obamas speeches..I think they (the speeches )almost singlehandedly won the Americans over,( now thats something )..I'm not sure they knew too much about him prior to his actual nomination .

I'm still amazed we have a black President. The world is growing up.

mantra.

It is wonderful Auzgurl - but I hope he stays safe. There would be many racist bigots in the US who might be prepared to assassinate him. There are dark clouds on the horizon for the US - Gordon Brown, Colin Powell and a few others have hinted that something ominous is going to occur in the next couple of weeks and I hope it doesn't involve Obama. He has given the world some hope for peace.

"Sorry"? I am not sorry for life as we know it.

History, learn from it or get over it, but don't expect it to bring the dead back to life or give you self esteam: because Clio is one mean bitch, mean to us all.

Giving her the fairest crown of all the muses.
