Maybe Labor should think of Chris Bowen as its new leader, as he's the one Shadow Minister the public really listened to.

When he said, "If you don't like our policies, don't vote for them", that's what people did.

yes, that is exactly their arrogance showing.

they are not interested in the 'customer'. They will tell us what is best for us. Whether we like it or not, any criticism will be ignored, ridiculed or quashed.

this is what Mr Shorten did when he refused to answer funding questions.
Totally agree with you sprint.

I had my Monday morning round up at work this morning, where the people on my team run through what they’ve got on for the approaching week. I work in a profession that is very left wing dominated. One of them actually said it was a sad time for Australia and we all do this job because we care about people and connection.

Like right wingers can’t / won’t/ don’t do that. The arrogance of the left is astounding.
You must work in Media.
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

If the Tories really cared about "people and connection" they wouldn't be looking to rip off people all the time and to make connections one sided, now would they, "Nicole"?

I don't think ripping people off is mutually exclusive to what side of the political spectrum you are. This left = good right = bad shit and vice versa needs to stop. There's scum on both sides.

Yeah, sure. Take your argument to "Nicole", Reboot. She is the one who believes that the Left are all evil. I've known some very good right wingers over the years. Some I even admire. Some of the Left I wouldn't even piss on, if they were on fire. The problem is, the ones who are bastards just tend to be on the Tory side of politics...

Wrong again, Brian.

The right has as much heart as the left. They just believe the government aka taxpayers need to be able to afford it first. And the Australian people have just given you that lesson. Sucker.

Yeah, sure, "Nicole". Is that why they always blame the unemployed for their predicament and call them "dole bludgers"? Is that why they restrict the amount paid for bulk bill medical services? Is that why they keep sending our young off to fight in foreign wars? Is that why they have actively attempted to dismantle Indigenous Australian settlements? The list goes on and on, just how much the Tories care about people, hey?
They just believe the government aka taxpayers need to be able to afford it first. And the Australian people have just given you that lesson. Sucker.
I don't think that is at the heart of the lesson the ALP learnt on saturday night at all, "Nicole". Considering the Tories lied about their budget surplus, well, I don't think you have much to crow about, really. The lesson the electorate gave the ALP was that they should explain their policies better and not to assume that the Polls are going to deliver them government all the time. The Tories resorted to their old tactic of scare campaigns based on lies. Are you proud of that? I wouldn't be.

If Labor think Chris Bowen is going to win the next election for them they are dreaming. No-one is going to forget his tax grabs, especially the oldies. They need someone NEW!!

Unbelievable *shakes head*

He's an arrogant shit too. I think somebody here likened him to a paedophile or something? I'm going with that

Not sure if the folks on ABC were discussing him or Albanese but they mentioned one of those two would be "more business minded".

They are both tainted with the past.
