Just wait until manboobs Shorten opens up the gates and spends more money that we haven't got
It usually takes years to recover after Labor. This time I doubt we will ever recover.
Of course the rightards ignore the massive rise in the Australian Government debt since the coalition took over from Labor.
Before they took over it was a pending disaster but now its suddenly OK and now doesnt rate a mention
A debt ceiling on how much the Australian government could borrow existed between 2007 and 2013.
The statutory limit was created in 2007 by the Rudd Government and set at $75 billion. It was increased in 2009 to $200 billion,[17] $250 billion in 2011 and $300 billion in May 2012. In November 2013, Treasurer Joe Hockey requested Parliament's approval for an increase in the debt limit from $300 billion to $500 billion, saying that the limit will be exhausted by mid-December 2013.[18] With the support of the Australian Greens, the Abbott Government repealed the debt ceiling over the opposition of the Australian Labor Party.

I wonder how much this will cost to fly his big jet over there for a photo shoot?
Great managers of our money this mob!
Also I see we are now in a technical recession according to todays figures !
Did he actually go to Christmas Island today? I read that the Boss Cocky of Christmas Island (David somebody?) said it hadn't been "confirmed".
Oh, there's a Recession on the way and the Economists are blaming it on Tony Abbott, or Morrison or someone but it has happened since Turncoat got the heave-ho, so it isn't Mal's fault.
He is on CI now doing his interview!
I bet no one asks him how much this trip cost the Australian public!
Correction the
Australian TAXPAYER, the Australian public, in the main, care less, provided that they get their free money.
Also remember that when the PM takes a plane, he has his entourage plus all the Aussie Reporters and so forth. Who pays for Your ABC reporter, the Guardian one, the Faux Fax one and so forth? Murdock's lot? The Australian Taxpayer! They are all there, mike in hand, asking ridiculous questions.
Sorry, Scott, this is NOT gunna sell anything to the Australian VOTER. Lift your game. Talk about IMMIGRATION and FOREIGN DONATIONS and stop both. Oh and please forget Climate-bloody-change rubbish.

The only two worthy topics/policies that are likely to help us period.

Foreign donations I agree!
Immigration I gather is needed to some degree because of the rapidly aging population cost of pensions etc.
I like the idea of immigration requiring set periods of settlement in certain areas/ states

Somebody should tell Morrison ... he is floundering, I think. The Media isn't being all that kind either. The prospect of Bull Shitten as PM is abhorrent. Australia will look like a bunch of crims and hicks. Worse even than when Krudd met the Queen and Gillard face planted in India.

Too much immigration just makes it impossible for OUR young to get jobs. We don't do manufacturing any more and importing Indian Medics is not a good choice.
Sure, we need Immigration but how about "somebody" checking the Annual Deaths and Births and then calculating the number of Immigrants as "replacements" plus a small percentage ... or something? Just a thought.
Honestly, why are we importing Doctors from India? They do speak "english" but I, and many others, find their accent extremely difficult to understand. Plus I recall seeing a CV from an Indian applicant and he had written "BA (failed)". Makes you feel warm and fuzzy, wot?

Considering you cannot understand the person on the other end of the damned phone in any government department nowadays and the fact that the majority of doctors etc in Sydney can barely speak English, let alone understand it, I am growing more and more in favour of bringing back the White Australia Policy until a balance is maintained.
Set periods of settlement do nothing. After the set period they will all migrate to either Sydney or Melbourne. The faces of Sydney and Melbourne have been irrevocably changed and NOT in a good way.
How about Canberra puts its hand up to take them all? Just a thought.

Well I do know the SA government is screaming for more immigrants.
I dont know that I agree lets say 5 years in a set area would result in some deciding to stay.
