The UN backing us against invasion? Did you drink your breakfast this morning Brian? :rofl

If for no other reason we are strategically very important to the US and if you think they would sit back and see us invaded by Indonesia, China or anyone else you are delusional.

Still :rofl :rofl :rofl
There’s also this other thing called NATO.

Shhhhh - Don’t let the cat out of the bag and make Brian look stupid
NATO stands for, what, exactly, Serial? North Atlantic Treaty Organisation. It's responsibility is almost exclusively Western Europe and the North Atlantic. It is not concerned what happens in the antipodes. It has no reason to. NATO is busy at the moment trying to find the national wills to confront Russia over it's treatment of the Baltic republics, Georgia and the Ukraine. How well is it doing? Mmmm?

Pauline Hanson's Please Explain

22 years ago I warned the people of Australia about the demands and control the UN would have on Australia.

Recently they came out with calls for Australia to sign the Migration Compact, which Bill Shorten refuses to rule out.

If Australia signs up to Migration Compact agreement, we will lose all control over who comes to our country. Worse still, they want to make it illegal to criticise immigration policies.

The UN also want us to stop turning around illegal boat arrivals.

They want us to kill coal mining in Central Queensland.

They want us to pay more in foreign aid.

They’re pushing unrealistic climate change policy to be implemented in Australia.

They’re destroying farmers property rights.

They want to control our water.

They want a Carbon Tax on all Australians for our first world living standards.

And they’re talking about making Australians vegans by 2050.

Do you think we should put up with their rot anymore or do you think we should flick the UN?
I know who im voting for...

It will be interesting to see how Mark Latham goes in the NSW state elections in March.

The UN is the beginning -- the stepping stone -- of a one world dictatorship.

Yes, I wish Australia would stop pansying up to them. It's fucking annoying.

The United Nations is a collective security organisation formed at the end of WWII. It's purpose is to prevent mad men like Adolph Hitler running wild and causing a world war by ensure that no nation is alone resisting aggression from another nation or a group of nations. It has successfully resisted aggression numerous occasions - Korea, the Balkans, the Middle East, India-China, Kuwait, East Timor, etc. It has successfully overseen the creation of new nations. It has worked tirelessly to help refugees, to stop the spread of disease and to inoculate millions. It has worked to decrease tensions and to provide a place where nations can air their grievances against one another without resorting to armed conflict.

You lot just want to throw it all away 'cause you don't agree with a few decisions? Childish tantrums.

The UN is made up of member states. If the UN does not act, it is because the member states don't want it to act. Blame the member states for any inaction of the UN, Sprint, not the organisation itself.

The last war the UN prevented was in 1999 - between Australia and Indonesia over East Timor, Valkie.

The last war that the UN stopped was in the Balkans, between the Serbs and the other national groups (Croats, Bosnians, Kosovars).

You'd prefer millions, perhaps billions dying in unnecessary wars? Talking stops conflicts. QED.
