Read that article in the paper version ... and sounds about right ... so hardly surprising Brian would have a problem with it .. or the author .. or both.

Also read another good article (in the Australian or Weekend Australian) within the last few days written by (I forget her name) about 3 academic hoaxers who got several of their absurd essays published in Humanities related journals, and several more about to be published until the New York Times exposed them. Apparently these left wing mutton heads are so stupid and unethical that you can submit parts of Mein Kampf couched in post modernist jargon and the Humanities professors will sing its praises.

So Rory, assuming you have an online subscription to the Australian, do us all a favour and put it in this thread, so we can watch Brian have "Oh dearies" while changing his butt plug.

I do believe that Brian considers himself an ACADEMIC. :D The Academics that I have known wear beards, shorts and sandals (with socks) and PONTIFICATE. Here is what the Urban Dictionary says about Academics.

as a noun - an unentertaining charlatan

Well Brian stated in a thread on this site quite recently that he served 6 years in the Australian Army.
When you join a section of ADF you make an oath of allegiance to the monarch - QE2.
Yet Brian espouses socialist themes and agendas.
So how can a socialist reconcile making an oath to Queen Lizzy?

In all honesty you can't, so unentertaining charlatan is quite apt.
If Donald Trump is so close to the Ruskis, why couldn't he get Vladimir Putin to put novichok in Xi Jjinping's lipstick?

Oh, dearie, dearie me. Now it becomes a personal attack against me. My sartorial elegance is well known. Best Savile Row suits, shoes, socks, undies, you name it. Nothing but the best for moi, Neferti. Sandals? Only on my overseas holidays by the beach! Never with socks, either. 8-)

No, I don't consider myself an "academic" as I have rarely worked as one. I am an "intellectual", a member of the intelligentsia - prize knowledge and learning above all else. I do not hide my understanding under a bushel, I do not flinch from the anti-Academic who derides those who give themselves full time to striving in the groves of academe. I have learnt from the best and I believe I am better than many and better than you.

Actually, I served 10 years in the Australian Army. I never took an oath to anything. I took an affirmation. I see no problems with espousing Socialism and having affirmed my allegiance to the Queen of Australia, Marge, as a representative of the nation. Personally, whenever the loyal toast was taken, I made sure there was a glass of water there as well, to pass the Port over, to show I owed my allegiance to a foreign monarch, as did the Scottish regiments... ;)

I have met many people like bwyannnnnnn
they see themselves as superior, better than those around them.
Often they are bitter because they believe that they are not seen for the superior being they are.

But almostvwithout exception
These individuals are not even close to superior, generally on the lower end of the competent scale.

We are taught about high achievers and low achievers
Low achievers see themselves as better than others and therefore see no need to improve.

High achievers see faults with what they do because they feel they can do better.

The way to tell the difference is to see what an individual has achieved in their life.

Being in the same job for years with no promotion, or continually changing jobs is a good give away to a low achiever.

I will not ask bwyannnnnnn how far he got
It could very well be embarrassing for him.
I have a dream
A world free from the plague of Islam
A world that has never known the horrors of the cult of death.
My hope is that in time, Islam will be nothing but a bad dream

See the enlarged and bolded text, Neferti. Add about 10 kg onto that picture and you have me to a "T", except of course, the lack of socks... ;)

Often people who were born to a low class "working" family, do everything they can to drag themselves up to be EQUAL to the rest of society. and to be able to call themselves Middle Class. Thus they vote Labor because that is what their parents and grandparents and great grandparents did .... MONEY, a BIG House and a UNI DEGREE (or Masters) does NOT make you Middle Class. Only Heritage does. In other words, "you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear" sort of thing.
