Better than mine and I am super happy with my speed.

I have 2 TVs running watching YouTube, 3 Pcs. 2 phones, I use Skype for business all the time.... etc.

We run 4 tvs (more usually 3 though), 2 desktops, 3 laptops, 2 PS4, XBox, Wii, 4 phones and I have probably forgotten something.

You obviously have CABLE ... everything is underground in my street .... my Belkin WiFi covers all I have connected to it including rellies and guests phones and so forth when they visit.

What gives that sort of speeds in Sydney? Is it the NBN?

upload

more than I need for what I use the Net for.

Yes. Even with the "slow" speeds that I get I can watch movies, TV programs, etc. I download games through Steam (not very often nowadays) and although they are not instantaneous, I can start the download and some time later, it is there to play and meanwhile I can browse the Net and so forth. These days you don't get downloads dropping out like you once used to. At least ADSL2+ is stable and I do recall, way back, when it came to the afternoon when the schoolkids got home, there were drop outs ... this no longer happens.

I really cannot see NBN people door-knocking my street to get me and my neighbours to sign up any time soon (what an Americanism ...). We can say No Thanks, can't we? I read somewhere that they will stop your ADSL connection if you don't sign up?

My BIL was here for a few days earlier in the year and he has NBN. When I asked about the benefits, he didn't have a clue, nor could he tell me what speeds he got ... I presumed that his email came through "faster". :rofl I actually get too many "fwds" same jokes that have already been around the World several times, I definitely don't need faster email. :giggle

Faster speeds do absolutely nothing to speed up email.
