The unimaginative cynicism of many Australians is always amusing.

I have the easy part, just type what I have lived. I think I persist on a forum with people I really don't know or care about because it is an interesting contrast of life, your need not to believe it reveals to me just what boring lives most people submit to, they can not percieve anything else is possible for them, it reminds me what an interesting life I have had.

It is really more for me than you.

You think small and so despite having a good income end up in a small and distant part of Melbourne.

The certainty of that prediction matched only by my own when complaining about the traffic in eastern suburbs that you would make up some imaginary e-dick story about how you used to live on Chapel street and watched Tony Mokbel and Chopper Read fight down on the street while you making love to a fugitive Dominican princess and writing a sonnet that was published and later turned into an opera by Richard Hickox, whose wife you were also sleeping with etc etc... all the while being completely unable to offer any explanation of how you managed to live in a suburb where a crack in the wall costs $2400 a month and you're either unemployed or on an enlisted pension.

My two bedroom apartment across from Darling Gardens, (with a view up the Yarra) cost 260 per week in 2002. (Your estimate makes me doubt you lived in Melbourne. But I will take your word for it, like Gwen you probably don't know much about the cities you live in.)

15 minute walk to the Botanical gardens.

40 up the river to the city center.

Nice life, better than Perth.

Try it some time, you might like it.

Sorry, I am having an intelligent conversation on another forum.

There is a Darling Gardens on Darling street, South Yarra as well.

The garden seperates the apartments from the Yarra. Darling street goes up to Toorak road and straight on Toorak road and Darling Street was my favorate bottle shop. The owner is a Perv like me.

Christies auction house was (I suppose still is) on Darling street just down from Toorak road.

Man, I am loving my past life.
