I see Aussie is up to his usual standard of debate and concentrating on other posters rather than the topic.
Condescending twat, indeed.

Re: Scottish Referendum
Despite the outcome of the referendum Scotland will have more autonomy. Commitments have been made to ensure further powers for the Scottish parliament. That's a plus. But in the long run IN MY OPINION Scotland may well struggle to retain economic independence.aussie wrote:I ask:

And you have no answer. Thought so. That's what your contribution is on this matter ~ condescending twaddle.
So you pretentious prat, rather than concentrating on attacking every post/poster here, what is your contribution on the matter of Scottish Independence?

Re: Scottish Referendum
I have a personal friend in Scotland. We rarely talk politics as she is a lefty ... however, I did mention in my last email to her, earlier this week, that I thought it would be a NO. My reason (which I explained to her) is that Referendums generally turn out to be NO .......
Re: Scottish Referendum
I am not stupid enough to make one, because unlike you, I know nothing about what is best for them and I won't (unlike you) pretentiously pretend I do know what is best for them.Black Orchid wrote:Despite the outcome of the referendum Scotland will have more autonomy. I do know that I have a daughter and son-in-law living/working in Edinburgh, she's an Aussie, he's a Pom, and they were allowed to vote. How dumb is that? They voted 'no' because they wanted to see nothing change....as no change means their little safe World is status quo ~ they voted selfishly, and not in the interests of either Scotland or the UK. After having that impact on the interests of others, they will move on whenever it takes their personal fancy.

Re: Scottish Referendum
Aussie, you do know nothing.
The consequence for Scott was to enter an unknown world.
Their own currency - the English told them to get fucked if they go independent - they wanted to be a separate country but keep the pound. The UK would NOT join the Euro and they certainly will not have a mini Euro in the UK.
They are dependant on England for hand-outs - they would lose that. More public money is spent on people living in Scotland than on those living in England.
They have a limited North Sea reserve - what else do they have - SFA
They have debt - they would have to own this.
Businesses and bank will withdraw to England - big hit on their economy.
There are many reason why they will be worse off.
I got to vote in the UK before I got my dual citizenship - what's wrong with that. Please explain why you think it is bad they those that live and pay taxes in a country should not have a vote if they are from a commonwealth country. Remember your history lessons here Aussie...

Re: Scottish Referendum
I believe that no-one having mere residency status/a visa to work in Scotland should have been able to vote on such a fundamentally Scottish issue. Just how much the outcome was skewed by 'No' votes from people exactly like them, we'll never know....but if I were a Scot who voted 'Yes,' I'd feel screwed by arseholes who have zero interest in my Land.

Re: Scottish Referendum
The UK is an itsy bitsy little place that was once called Great Britain. The Poms and the Scots don't see eye to eye. Never have. This was their chance to break away from England but it hasn't happened. So? It will all go back to what it was yesterday, I expect.

So people with an opinion are stupid and you dog and stalk them with snipes and off topic contributions and demands just to get your little rocks off?aussie wrote:I am not stupid enough to make one, because unlike you, I know nothing about what is best for them and I won't (unlike you) pretentiously pretend I do know what is best for them.
Hmmm ok. As usual you have nothing. Carry on.
There are only 2 regular women on this site lately and you are stalking and abusing both of them. Nice one.

Re: Scottish Referendum
86% of Scots voted apparently 55% against leaving the UK.
Personally I think they made the right decision.
Useless is incapable of making decisions or holding relevant opinions. Hence the name.
