[quote="mantraThe ABS has always been fuzzy in its unemployment statistics, although if they say the unemployment figures are now the worst we've seen since 2003 - then we have to believe them.
It use to be one signed up for employment and those not getting employment were classed as unemployed, however that honesty provided a political too high rate of unemployment.
As for the ABS on this matter they do as politically instructed to them.

Come on when you go on about it the only party you ever mention or try to name is The Coalition or their leader...mantra wrote:I took it for granted everyone knew that Labor supported FTA's, but to my knowledge they haven't signed us up to one yet. The Coalition has taken responsibility for that.Rorschach wrote:mantra why do you keep avoiding the issue regards the ALP ?
We all know the ALP and ex Trade Minister Emerson have always backed FTAs.
Seems to me you are being completely disingenuous about this.
I'm not sure if I got the name right - but did you hear Rick Brown - economist, on 2GB this morning talking about FTA's? We should be extremely worried. He cited an FTA with Thailand in 2005/6 as being responsible for the demise of our car industry. It made sense.
Labor haven't signed us up to one yet? Yet the Chinese one you've mentioned several times now they were working on for how many years? Be honest you just don't want to know... you prefer hating those you consider RW, and being biased and dishonest.

Overview and key outcomes of the ASEAN-Australia-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement
In the margins of the East Asia Summit on 25 October 2009, leaders of AANZFTA Parties issued a joint statement announcing AANZFTA will enter into force on 1 January 2010.
The Australia-Chile Free Trade Agreement
The Australia-Chile Free Trade Agreement entered into force on 6 March 2009. It was Australia's fifth FTA and the first with a Latin American country.
The Korean Australia FTA was finalised last December... gee I wonder what government did the most work setting it up?The Malaysia-Australia Free Trade Agreement
Australia's former Minister for Trade, Craig Emerson, and Malaysia’s Minister for International Trade and Industry, Mustapa Mohamed, signed the Malaysia-Australia Free Trade Agreement (MAFTA) in Kuala Lumpur on 22 May 2012. The Agreement entered into force on 1 January 2013.
MAFTA is a comprehensive, high-quality agreement that further integrates the Australian economy into the fast-growing Asian region. The Agreement builds on benefits already flowing to the Australian economy from the ASEAN-Australia-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement, which started for Australia and Malaysia in 2010.

The Japanese Australia FTA started in 2007 and is almost completed,,, gee who spent most time organising that one?

Negotiations started with Indonesia in 2012....

Looks like we have another drunky Monkey...
oh and try not to post quotes already posted if you have nothing new to say.

Dear dickhead... please attribute your quotes to the proper person, try to concentrate more and a attribute the attitudes and quotes to those who actually made them... personally I'd prefer you just piss off altogether and in doing so double or triple the collective IQ of this site by doing so.DaS Energy wrote:Rorschach wrote: "I took it for granted everyone knew that Labor supported FTA's, but to my knowledge they haven't signed us up to one yet."
