I'm not sure if I got the name right - but did you hear Rick Brown - economist, on 2GB this morning talking about FTA's? We should be extremely worried. He cited an FTA with Thailand in 2005/6 as being responsible for the demise of our car industry. It made sense.

Come on when you go on about it the only party you ever mention or try to name is The Coalition or their leader...

The Australia-Chile Free Trade Agreement
The Australia-Chile Free Trade Agreement entered into force on 6 March 2009. It was Australia's fifth FTA and the first with a Latin American country.

The Malaysia-Australia Free Trade Agreement

Australia's former Minister for Trade, Craig Emerson, and Malaysia’s Minister for International Trade and Industry, Mustapa Mohamed, signed the Malaysia-Australia Free Trade Agreement (MAFTA) in Kuala Lumpur on 22 May 2012. The Agreement entered into force on 1 January 2013.

MAFTA is a comprehensive, high-quality agreement that further integrates the Australian economy into the fast-growing Asian region. The Agreement builds on benefits already flowing to the Australian economy from the ASEAN-Australia-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement, which started for Australia and Malaysia in 2010.

The Korean Australia FTA was finalised last December... gee I wonder what government did the most work setting it up?

The Japanese Australia FTA started in 2007 and is almost completed,,, gee who spent most time organising that one?

Negotiations started with Indonesia in 2012....
