Re: Stupid Bill...
Australia does not have a Carbon reduction scheme, it has a electricity limiter law. Its the same Carbon per Kilowatt with or without the Carbon Tax. Labour took such exposure at the election Bill has no Policy to stand on so plays the child.

Apparently the treehuggers are enough of a majority to have managed to get the ALP in control to ratify Kyoto, dude.Rorschach wrote:OI you... we? You mean the Labor Party and the Greens... Don't confuse Australians as a whole with a minority.
That's because you don't have anyone to form a carbon market with. Emission-based schemes work for the EU since you've got a couple dozen countries all in a space half the size of the US. Australia is geographically isolated, so an emissions scheme simply won't work for you as there's no one to trade with.Rorschach wrote:BTW our emissions scheme is based on a tax not a market based system.
Either way, it's all based on power-generation/usage, so the end result is the same.
No, only filthy disgusting hippies hug trees. Since only filthy disgusting hippies hug trees, and Greens hug trees, therefore Greens are filthy disgusting hippies. QED.Rorschach wrote:Only Greens hug trees.

Wassup.... can't face reality?
Anger management issues perhaps?
Too much testosterone?
I simply stated a fact you obviously are ignorant of. Want me to repeat it?
No need to get upset about it and have a conniption, you know.
CONNIPTION...
I always address a topic... the only thing that disappoints me is the time I spend replying to the off topic crap and ad hom flames etc. I gotta stop doing it.

You got the quote incorrect. It was ARSE END OF THE EARTH Paul Keating was the Prime Minister who coined the phrase.
Can't find Keating stating this but he was well known for insults. Here's one of them:

You addressed nothing, moron. You just made a snide asshole comment with no information related to anything discussed. I know you have trouble reading, what with the constant masturbation you do, but if your eyesight is really that bad just ask and I'll up my font size, you furry palmed primate.Rorschach wrote:I always address a topic... the only thing that disappoints me is the time I spend replying to the off topic crap and ad hom flames etc. I gotta stop doing it.

Re: Stupid Bill...
Well lets see...
I actually started the topic... so I'm guessing I actually know something about it?
Do you even know who Bill Shorten is?
Do you even know about ALP policies?
It don't look like it.
Mantra's reply was a load of garbage. You however being an expert on Shorten and the ALP and Australia and Australians think you know better, so bag us all, when it is very obvious not all Australians were in favour of Kyoto at all and the Conservative Government did not ratify it at all as mantra stated. Oh dear look at that she was wrong... so what I said...
But not you the all knowing Chard....
It seems to me you have a very sparse knowledge of Australia and Australians, if not just plain derogatory at times, hence my observation of you living in the Land of Total Disconnect.
Now you've wasted another 5 minutes of my life.

Just what is wrong with the ALP and Shorten.
They now expect the Coalition government to implement their policy... policy they lost the election with. Shades of their will be no carbon tax...
Labor policy... end Carbons tax start an ETS.
Labor demand... will allow end of Carbon tax if Libs start an ETS.
Now just how stupid do the ALP think everyone else in the world is?

Why is it always Rubbish....
Stop posting and believing Green propaganda and you might actually have a point.
We don't want a carbon tax... the people have spoken... that includes a "tax" called an ETS.

My factual replies...What exactly did Mantra get wrong? Your emission control sceme IS based on the EU system and your country is expected to meet those new regulations in 2015. For fuck's sake, you guy's even signed up on the Kyoto Accords under annexes one and two. With all the environmentalist crap you guys willingly sign up for I'm surprised that Australia's national pasttime doesn't involve hugging trees.
Oh and on the ETS, (you do know what that is right?) was to be joined with Europe. So much for your we is all alone in the world statement.OI you... we? You mean the Labor Party and the Greens... Don't confuse Australians as a whole with a minority.
BTW our emissions scheme is based on a tax not a market based system. Only Greens hug trees.
Australia's ratification of Kyoto was one of the first acts of the Labor Government in 2007. Our willingness to join a second commitment period was widely welcomed at the Doha conference and provided impetus for progress at the talks.
The Kyoto Protocol was finally negotiated and concluded at the 3rd meeting of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Conference of Parties (COP-3) in December 1997 in Kyoto, Japan, following a series of submissions by Parties to the UNFCCC and talks held by the Ad Hoc Working Group established after COP-1 held in Berlin, 1995. The Kyoto Protocol entered into force generally on 16 February 2005. Australia signed the Kyoto Protocol on 24 April 1998, but did not ratify until 12 December 2007 following the election of the ALP government. To date, 182 parties have ratified the Kyoto Protocol.
Now perhaps your lack of knowledge about Australia means you don't know who Combet and Dreyfus are... but I did tell you it was the ALP and not all Australians... which you failed to concede and instead had a conniption. The Minister for Climate Change and Energy Efficiency Greg Combet and Parliamentary Secretary for Climate Change and Energy Efficiency Mark Dreyfus today announced that Australia has signed up to a second commitment period under the Kyoto Protocol at the United Nations climate change conference in Doha.

You heard on the news this morning, I assume, that the energy companies are saying that there will probably not be a reduction in our electricity bills even when the tax is repealed. I said this months ago on a few occasions. Of course they will find something else to use our money for. Repealing this tax is only another Abbott ideology and it's going to be a costly one at that.
At present those on low incomes are getting subsidies for the tax - this will be removed and people will see no difference in their bills and they won't be getting any help from the government this time around.
Let's see how Abbott gets out of this one.
IQ has a similar infliction to you. He is unable to debate politics rationally either. You don't have to be an Australian to see what idiots we have running this country.Even IQS a fellow Australian agrees.IQS.RLOW wrote:You, as always are wrong.
