Abbott hasn't reached any conclusive agreement with Indonesia - otherwise there would be a hint of it somewhere. He has got exactly nowhere. All he did was acknowledge that Indonesia have their own problems dealing with tens of thousands of refugees annually and can't help us with ours. Why should they unless they're going to be paid a huge amount of cash, but even if that's the case, it's been tried and proven that funding Indonesia in regard to the refugees doesn't work.

We won't know if there are boats coming or not - because Abbott is being sneaky and has gone underground on this issue. He has silenced the Immigration Minister - as he has done with all his other ministers. The alleged once a week report is a ruse. What's the bet that whatever is reported will be only what has occurred on that day or the previous one.

That's a good excuse. He might get away with his code of silence for a few weeks, but people will demand answers eventually. Abbott thinks that all that is required of him is the fact that he's a Liberal and whatever happened in previous Lib governments will get him through. It won't. Is Abbott back in Australia yet? He will make an announcement about what went on in Jakarta when he is good and ready. Don't expect him to get his head on the News every time he farts, like the last lot did. Tony Abbott is not a LIAR nor is he a media "tart". He is taking his Prime Ministership very seriously and good on him. When he has something important to announce, he will announce it. This is his management style. Get used to it.
