Pardon my superficiality, haven't read thread or many posts, gotta bail soon.

IMO the last 3 years of Labor's musical chairs was hosted by the mining industry.

Rudd proposed a mining profit tax, so the mining companies got the relevant unions to do their bidding, boot the PM and install an incompetent crony.

Remember the most crucial characters in her early taking of office were mining company execs.

My guess is the mining companies will increase their support for Abbot now Rudd is back.
If Donald Trump is so close to the Ruskis, why couldn't he get Vladimir Putin to put novichok in Xi Jjinping's lipstick?

I was wondering the same thing myself. Rudd's mining tax shouldn't have been reduced to the useless nominal tax it now is. It depends if he makes any mutterings about reinstating it to its original value. That could be a bad move and I doubt he is unintelligent enough to make it just yet.

The mining companies have too much influence. They can take over our property at any place and at any time. If you own your home and look at your CT - you'll see a tiny clause which says we own everything except the minerals.

Do people really believe that Kevni sits there at his computer or on his iPhone and reply to all the Twitter and Facebook stuff? Kevni is far too busy, flying around, TV door stops, etc etc.

He has a teenage boy or 2, doesn't he? Maybe it was that little shit who posted his "razor cut" face shot? Living in the Lodge/Kirribilli would be a great way to catch girls. The kids have been dragged along to Church stuff so I wouldn't trust them, at all!

Men of 50+ have been shaving for eons, they know what a sharp razor does ..... it IS a LOOK AT ME. How Common. At least Tony Abbott's 3 girls have some decorum. As does his wife who actually works in childcare.

Did you see the Pudgy Kev doing a Howard around The Lake? Here he is with that naughty son of his who hasn't has as much experience at shaving than his father has!

Well most media is owned by big business, and like it or not the mining industry is the most powerful entity in Oz due to laws enacted resulting from the Eureka stokade.
The mining industry was powerful enough to oust Oz's sitting PM without firing a shot.

I have always said I'd never touch anything with Gina Rineharts fingerprints on it. The reason so many companies refused her a board seat despite having more than enough shares, is because she is trouble and not trustworthy. I recognised her behaviour because I have seen exactly the same dodgey antics pulled in my own family, over money of course.
So I feel quite justified calling Gina Rinehart is a fat parasite who steals from her own children.

Andrew Forrest is like a politician, make big promises and delivers little.

So yes, the mining companies told the relevant unions to ditch Rudd. The unions know without big industries to lean on, there is no justification for their existence.
What hurts the industry ultimately hurts the union.

So Gina Rinehart is a heroine of yours by the sounds of it.
Well if you're going to run a fan club devoted to dodgey operators, why not hail the best scammer of all, Bernie Maddof. He ran the best ponzi scheme ever.
If Donald Trump is so close to the Ruskis, why couldn't he get Vladimir Putin to put novichok in Xi Jjinping's lipstick?
